My account has been hacked (screenshot)! @Twitter I haven't checked it in a few days. Just now found myself logged out. Also found this email from Twitter (screenshot). I managed to change the password back. Please discard anything you received from my account in past 5 days.

دخلت اليوم مكتبة @Foyles في وسط لندن وتصفحت هذه الترجمة العربية 😥 ترجمة سيئة لا تصلح للتداول It’s certainly a “bad translation”. I wouldn’t recommend it to my Arabic students!

@ArabicForNerds الدَّحُوحُ : الممتدُّ الواسعُ. دحيح is very Egyptian, it's might be from دَّحُوحُ which actually makes sense.

A classic: How do you say NERD in Arabic? The English term "nerd" is difficult to translate and should be left untranslated. However, if one insists: How do you say "nerd" in Arabic? arabic-for-nerds.com/how-do-you-say…

Poll result- not unexpected. I may appear ammiya-fanatic but I think fusha in Arabic class is common sense & can bring fusha to life & make it less alien, esp for Egyptians. AT THE SAME TIME respect the ammiya, use it in kids’ books, leisure & educational material etc. Simples :)

@al_bunduqdari @bilmasripodcast Here's a big one, my Arabic teacher used to misread Quran verses, not talking about Tajweed, I mean the actual words. First time I saw an Arabic teacher speaking Fusha the whole class was in highschool.

@bilmasripodcast This is actually a shocking result. Shows virtually zero presence of fus7a in the classroom in Egypt. It's actually amazing that anyone is learning fus7a at all in this environment.

@SA_Diabetes I've seen patients in SA who can't even afford Metformin. These prices are ridiculous. In Egypt, Dulagultide is E£2000 which is insane.

A huge issue facing patients with T2D is the cost of new medications. A friend was recently prescribed Dulaglutide but cannot afford $500+/month. Same with SGLT2i. Forget Semaglutide! This is why most patients I meet in SA are on Metformin only and are often poorly controlled
