The Georgia Lieutenant Governor Republican Primary has one of the coolest precinct maps I've seen in a while. Notable that Kennedy, Dolezal, Tiller, Clark, and Gooch all won handily in their respective State Senate/House districts.

The question in AL R Senate is this: Can Jared Hudson beat Steve Marshall by over 10% in metro Birmingham? There are about 150,000 votes left in that area; a 10% lead would give Hudson a 15,000 vote edge on Marshall coming out of there. He's only behind by 6,600 now.

Caroleene Dobson has won the GOP nomination for Alabama secretary of state, per the AP. She'll be a shoo-in in November in this deep-red state. Dobson has called for the creation of an Election Integrity Division in the SOS office to investigate voter fraud.

AL Sen R - Marshall is leading Hudson by 3% because he is finishing ahead of him in the rural NW and in and around Montgomery. Key for Hudson is metro Birmingham, which is much underreported. If Hudson can win there, he can finish second. Long road to go.

Why are Dems going so hard on this? VA02 is 22% black, and those voters can be hard to turn out in midterms. They just voted big for the gerrymander, which Kiggins and Rs got thrown out. Base motivation — make that segment of part sprint to polls to vote Luria
