🇦🇿🇵🇰 At the invitation of H.E. Ambassador @QasimMFA, I attended the flag-hoisting ceremony marking Pakistan Day. The event takes place against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions, as #Pakistan seeks to prevent the spillover of instability from #Afghanistan, including militant activity, cross-border attacks, radicalization, arms trafficking, and transnational terr@rism. The unresolved issue of #Jammu and #Kashmir also remains a key factor shaping regional security dynamics. The developments of 2019, when #India unilaterally altered the status of the region, continue to complicate prospects for dialogue and contribute to persistent tensions in South Asia. #Azerbaijan and Pakistan continue to actively strengthen their bilateral relations and support one another in efforts to promote stability, cooperation, and shared prosperity.

🇦🇿🇨🇳 #Azerbaijan–#China Cooperation and the Middle East War | Ambassador Lu Mei At a briefing in Baku on March 13, Lu Mei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Azerbaijan, highlighted the expanding partnership between the two countries, emphasizing strong potential for further development and modernization across multiple sectors.

In an interview with AnewZ, former Latvian Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Artis Pabriks said Azerbaijan is increasingly seen in Europe as a key transit and energy partner as conflicts in the region disrupt air routes and supply chains. He noted that during both the Russia-Ukraine war and the current escalation in the Middle East, Azerbaijan has served as a reliable corridor for aviation and transport. Pabriks added that Azerbaijan could play a growing role in Europe’s energy diversification as European countries move away from Russian energy supplies, creating new opportunities for deeper cooperation between Azerbaijan, the Caucasus region and European partners.

For me, having visited #Somalia in December last year, it was particularly interesting to meet and speak with Ahmedou Ould-Abdallah — Former Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for West #Africa and UN Special Envoy for Somalia. 🇦🇿🇸🇰 I had a chance to exchange views and conduct an interview with Ján Kubiš, Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of #Slovakia. Against the backdrop of growing global turbulence, our discussion highlighted the South #Caucasus as a region moving toward stability. We spoke about the #Azerbaijan–#Armenia peace process, the failure of years of #OSCE mediation to deliver results, and how Azerbaijan ended the decades-long conflict through military realities and strong diplomacy, with recent efforts by the United States and President Donald #Trump contributing to new momentum toward peace.

Had a productive meeting with Wu Hongbo, former special representative of the Chinese government for European affairs and Chinese Ambassador in Azerbaijan. We exchanged views on Azerbaijan–China comprehensive strategic cooperation and discussed key regional affairs. A valuable dialogue reflecting the depth of our bilateral relations. 🇦🇿🇨🇳
