Out of curiosity, why didn't we call logical atomism post-idealism?

@cmlittlejohn Right. I thought that appeal to stakes was supposed to sweeten the pill of no reasonable belief in preface. But I have to check. Also, I am confused: you accept RM?

@cmlittlejohn Right. I remember Smith's move was to go pragmatic encroachment to account for preface, right?

@cmlittlejohn Can you remind the rationale behind RM? Smith focuses on normic support, right? Do you accept normic support view of rational support?

@DeusExCaseum I see. Yes, makes sense. But I also feel there's the background of 'realpolitik' involved

@ALogins But one can also associate word realism with a broadly naturalistic commitment. And in that sense politics qua identity expression is more straightforwardly “naturalisible” view. This is not to defend this view of politics, yet naturalisms are hotter than non-naturalisms :p

Reading bits of political epistemology. Came across the view called "political realism," where politics are about group alliances and not deliberation and voting preferences. This sounds to me like 'political skepticism', not realism. What am I missing?

@ALogins Maybe someone took the word 'Realpolitik' and understood the word 'realism' based on that.
