IISER Thiruvananthapuram hosted Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), for a series of strategic interactions aimed at strengthening the nation’s research and innovation ecosystem. The visit, held in the presence of Dr. V. Deshmane, Chairperson, Board of Governors (BoG), and Prof. J. N. Moorthy, Director, IISER TVM, featured two key sessions that brought together the Institute's leadership and its vibrant research community: 🔹 Strategic Leadership Dialogue: Dr. Kalyanaraman engaged with the Chairperson, Director, and the Deans and Heads of Departments to discuss the long-term vision of the ANRF. The discussion centred on institutional collaborations and the foundation’s role in driving large-scale, mission-mode programs across government and academia. 🔹 Empowering the Research Core: In a dedicated session with Faculty members and Postdoctoral researchers, the CEO provided insights into the ANRF’s ₹50,000 CR grants program. Facilitated by the Institute leadership, the interaction focused on practical pathways for researchers to access resources and contribute to high-impact innovation under the Viksit Bharat roadmap.
