Kobe took a band of misfits that had never been to the Finals, to 3 straight finals, winning back to back in 2009-2010. Pau Gasol, bless him, had never been out of the 1st round. Beat the Magic who had taken out LeBron and then beat the Super-Celtics. No top 75 players on that squad.

Kobe is obviously incredible and the leader but it’s just flat out wrong to think he didn’t have an elite team behind him

@Savage90623337 @JoshEberley Gasol had skill but had never won a playoff game. Was considered a star but not superstar level. Bynum was a good center for those couple of years but was limited because of injuries and immaturity.
