Kobe took a band of misfits that had never been to the Finals, to 3 straight finals, winning back to back in 2009-2010. Pau Gasol, bless him, had never been out of the 1st round. Beat the Magic who had taken out LeBron and then beat the Super-Celtics. No top 75 players on that squad.

@JoshEberley Pau is only ever brought up as a great player to discredit Kobe.
Number 4 doesn’t mean anything. That was a bad trade for lakers. Lamar ended up not even starting for them. Derek Fisher came up clutch but in terms of talent, he was the worst starting PG in the NBA.

I know what I saw. He proved without a shadow of a doubt he could have been an engine that could win 4-5 rings had he never had Shaq at all.
