GOODBYE ASTROLOGERS? NOT SO FAST. Grok hasn’t “killed” astrology – it has just turned it into another content gimmick. Change the prompt, change the prediction. That’s not destiny, that’s pattern‑matching and psychology. If horoscopes, tarot or “AI birth‑chart decoders” really worked, they’d be running the largest hedge funds on earth, not chasing clicks on X. If you genuinely want an edge: Track your decisions with data, not your date of birth. Back‑test every method and see if it beats random chance. Almost all astrological claims fail that test. Use Grok’s prompts for fun if you like. Just don’t confuse entertainment with alpha.

⚛️Blue Glows in Nuclear Reactors Cerenkov Radiation Ever wondered why nuclear reactors glow eerie blue? It's Cherenkov radiation! When charged particles like electrons zip through water faster than light's speed in that medium, they create an electromagnetic "sonic boom." This polarizes atoms, forming a cone of light that's mostly blue-violet. It's seen in particle accelerators too!

⭐️The Lasting Impact of a Fleeting Light In the velvet void where shadows dance, A nova sparks, a cosmic lance. A fleeting blaze, its heart ignites, Painting tales across the nights. Born of stars that dare to die, Its radiance scrawls a fierce goodbye. A pulse of light, both fierce and brief, Carves its name on time’s own leaf. Galaxies spin, their spirals wide, Yet pause to mark this fleeting tide. Its embers whisper, soft and bright, To worlds unborn in endless night. Each photon flung through space’s sea, A herald of eternity. Though gone in breaths, its glow remains, In cosmic winds and stellar veins. O fleeting light, your transient fire, Stirs dreams in hearts that still aspire. A nova’s death, a moment’s flight, Bequeaths the stars immortal light.

⭐️Stellar Surprises: Australian Astronomer John Seach Spots Three New Novae in 2025 Comments on my latest discoveries Every so often the night sky pulls a rabbit out of its hat: a faint point of light suddenly flares and, for a few weeks, looks like a brand-new star. It’s called a nova (Latin for “new”), and it happens when a dead star called a white dwarf steals gas from a nearby companion until the surface goes bang—more like a cosmic pressure cooker than a full-blown supernova. ‼️This year, Australian astronomer John Seach of Australia, chalked up three of these sky fireworks—adding to his impressive tally of 14 nova discoveries. With patient night-to-night patrols using digital cameras, Seach shows how dedicated observers can still make big finds from their own backyards. What John found 1⃣Nova Velorum 2025 (Vela) – Late June A bright, easy showpiece for southern observers. For a couple of nights it was visible without binoculars from darker locations—an eye-catching “new star” that faded slowly afterward. 2⃣Nova Sagittarii 2025 No. 4 (Sagittarius) – September A binocular-friendly nova in the Teapot’s part of the Milky Way. This one was extra special: it sent out gamma rays—very high-energy light—picked up by a space telescope. That tells scientists there were powerful shockwaves in the blast. 3⃣Nova Centauri 2025 (Centaurus) – The very next night A rapid, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it outburst that brightened quickly and then faded. It also shone in X-rays, another clue to fast, energetic shocks. Photos later showed a rosy-pink tint, caused by glowing gases in the ejected shell. 🚨Why it matters New clues to stellar physics: Each nova is a natural lab for studying how matter piles onto white dwarfs, how shockwaves form, and how these blasts enrich the Milky Way with heavier elements. Backyard science with real impact: Careful, consistent watching still pays off. Novae can erupt anywhere, anytime—regular monitoring by amateurs often provides the first alert that triggers professional follow-up around the world. A shared sky: Discoveries like these remind us that the night sky isn’t static. It’s alive, and you can watch it change. 🥇Three novae in one year is a treat, and a testament to the power of curiosity, persistence, and looking up. Image below. Nova Centauri 2025.

Much improved METEOR M2-4 LRPT today after replacing the LNA on my VHF QFH. This 40° east pass is way longer than yesterday's 75° pass. Pointed the grid dish away from INMARSAT 4-F2 and towards GK-2A to receive LRIT 24/7. All decoded with @aang254 SatDump and @Nooelec RTL-SDRs.

NOAA-15 was decommissioned today at 15:26 UTC, with its AVHRR/3 Instrument still in better state than the last 2 remaining on MetOp-B & C. It wouldn't be so disappointing if this wasn't done for the wrong reasons... Makes you wonder what happened to NOAA.
