Andhra Pradesh leads india in Mangrove Restoration by Securing 2nd place in India's MISHTI scheme !! Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister & Minister for Forests, Shri @PawanKalyan Garu, Andhra Pradesh continues to strengthen its commitment to coastal ecosystem restoration and biodiversity conservation through large-scale mangrove development as part of the Great Greenwall of Andhra Pradesh initiative. Achievements in 2025–26 ✅ 2,047.70 hectares of mangrove plantations developed ✅ ₹18.04 crore invested in coastal ecosystem restoration The Department has also adopted the innovative Fish Bone Technique, enabling improved tidal water circulation, higher survival rates of mangroves, and enhanced long-term ecological resilience. Target for 2026–27 🎯 Restore 1,618 hectares of mangrove ecosystems across Andhra Pradesh.
