A national tragedy that some cancer patients face 3-4h rounds trips to receive life saving radiotherapy care. Thank you @timfarron for shedding light on our depleted radiotherapy services. Cancer waiting times will keep rising as long as these severe shortages remain unaddressed

This afternoon at Health Questions I challenged the Heath Secretary to ensure new cutting edge radiotherapy equipment is getting to the front line, alongside a fully staffed radiotherapy workforce, in order to cut waiting times between diagnosis and treatment and save lives.

In Cumbria and across the country, we have a cancer crisis, with patients waiting months to receive their first treatment. In the House of Commons I asked the Health Minister if she would back our radiotherapy campaign with @Daily_Express for £1bn investment to improve treatment
