Funny how we spend every transfer window moaning that we don't have anyone coming in. Yet at the same time we're being praised daily for how good our recruitment is. We get the right players, at the right time, for the right price. #BHAFC

@CoachD515 @LakeShowYo @lordadwani It’s annoying to see this comment get so much traction. LeBron doesn’t need to say anything and there were others there who didn’t either.

“Brighton are a stepping stone” So are Spurs. As soon as Modric, Gareth Bale and Harry Kane became world class, they couldn’t hold on to them. You’re Spurs. You’re not in the elite 1%.
B.@InvertTheWing

Looking at some of the replies and quotes. Do Brighton fans not realise their club is a stepping stone? Where on earth is this arrogance coming from? Tottenham could finish 17th 10 seasons in a row, and it’d still be a bigger, more attractive club than Brighton.

@Brightonian_ Couldn’t hold onto Kane? Are you dumb? Brighton have never and will never compare to Tottenham. Period.

@ryanadsett The biggest impact RDZ had was in fact off the pitch. The mindsets he changed from top to bottom. What we achieved on the pitch wasn’t always good and he was tactically found out a lot of the time. It’s funny what people choose to remember as time goes by.

Roberto De Zerbi back in the PL is pretty crazy. As a manager, he’s the best Brighton have ever had. He is tactically incredible and his player by player progression was insane. Players over performed. He changed the lives of Jason Steele, Solly March, Kaoru Mitoma etc. As a club, we’ve missed him since his departure. It took a while for his ethos to click, which could be a short term issue for Spurs. Ultimately, if they give him backing, it’ll work out. He’s a world class head coach. The biggest elephant in the room is the Greenwood comments, which were grim and absolutely shocking. That side of things leave a huge stain.

@autosport I’m not saying he’s wrong, but why is this coming from a man who is currently right at the back probably not experiencing any of this.

@Kernow_NickC @CxmeronCc Not enough people talk about this. Everyone credits Sainz for turning teams around. No one talks about Alonso doing the opposite. It’s probably because he’s got two titles from the 1950’s.

@CxmeronCc It's an enigma why Alonso, considered by experts and peers to be one of the best drivers ever, has spent so many seasons in cars he says are midfield. Maybe trying to blackmail Ron Dennis wasn't a good move, he just seems to destabilise every team he goes to.

🗣️ Fernando Alonso: “I am the best in the art of patience. There are drivers who explode over having a car that's not in the top 5 — I've spent 23 years fighting for the World Championship with cars that aren't even in the top 4.” #F1

Max Verstappen ejected a journalist from his news conference at the Japanese Grand Prix. It's because of a row that dates back to last year's season finale in Abu Dhabi.

@Scopes29 @alexbward He’s in a position to express his feelings if he feels its right to do so and he’s also entitled to not answer any questions from that journalist. He’s not in a position to tell a credited journalist to leave a media event that they have authorisation to attend.

Why because he removed a reporter from a Red Bull hosted event? When you are the one hosting the event you get to dictate who is in the event. Maybe next time the reporter won't be a dickhead when asking questions to people. Maybe reporters will realize there are consequences for their actions as well now and they are not always protected. Not even a huge Max fan, but the media think they have free reign to do and say whatever they want and now they get reigned in some and are crying like this.

@downtaunn @BBCSport Whether this one was unethical or not, I sympathise with Max or any sportsperson to a degree, but you’re paid to answer difficult questions and you’re not in a position to eject a fully credited journalist from a media area.
