I think everyone agrees spurs are a bigger club. But why would Mitoma, Van Hecke, Verbruggen etc go to 17th placed spurs rather than a bigger club who regularly get champions league football?

Looking at some of the replies and quotes. Do Brighton fans not realise their club is a stepping stone? Where on earth is this arrogance coming from? Tottenham could finish 17th 10 seasons in a row, and it’d still be a bigger, more attractive club than Brighton.

But Mitoma has proven he’s not motivated by money by rejecting the Saudi deal.

Would take Mitoma under De Zerbi at Tottenham this summer. Don't really care about age. Good 4 year contract, club needs people of more experienced ages. And also his profile, familiarity, willing to take players on.

@rowlsmanthorpe Not sure this is that much of a dunk. Copilot is chatgpt in a trenchcoat. You can change the settings to use gpt-5.4 + reasoning, and the web search is good. Most people working at m&s are not going to need Claude code or codex

Spurs fans might want to lay off Thomas Frank and just give him a chance to see where he can take the club. What he did at Brentford indicates he knows what he is doing. A little patience works better than calls for him to go. Oh , and 3rd in UCL league phase is not too shabby.
