From July 2017 to December 2023, GST on default fee was not collected from customer (in both Online & Offline modes). With effect from 01.01.2024 the collection of GST on default fees has been carried out manually through cash mode only in the counter of Post Offices. The automated system for GST deduction on default fees was implemented in McCamish System on 08.02.2025. Further, it is intimated that the provision of recovery of unpaid GST on default fees of PLI/RPLI policies has been deployed in online McCamish system w.e.f. 14-06-2025. As such outstanding amount of GST on default fees (from July 2017 onwards), as applicable on inactive/default PLI/RPLI policies, after adjusting the amount of due GST paid manually by the insurant in between, is being shown as unpaid interest/GST. This is one time payment of outstanding GST. This is for your kind information please.

Hello @IndiaPostOffice When i try to Pay RPLI premium, it is showing unusual outstanding GST amount. (GST on default fees). Which is almost same as premium amount. Nothing is default from my side. Please guide. Already shared via DM, but no response yet from your side.
