@womprat48 @Wittman7 He was actually on his way to a very good hitter & a very good pitcher in '23. That's also the year he was hitting better when he's pitching. He had a 4 WAR that year as a pitcher by August, then he tore his UCL; combine that with 40HR+ and it could have been his best as a twp.

@Wittman7 It’s kind of alternated. He was a slugger who pitched in 2021 and 2023. Pitching was very good, but he didn’t qualify. He was an ace who raked in 2022. We will see what happens this year.

@aboyuginba11 Exactly. The one thing that Joe Maddon kept mentioning when he was his manager with the Angels is the constant communication they had so they're in the same page. This team and manager of Shohei right now don't know shit.

Nah. They should bench him then DFA him if they want to. I'm sure other teams are more willing to allow him to be the best twp he can be. I mean the Angels did way better at doing that, it's a shame they can't surround him with real talent.

@ChadMoriyama Nah. After watching Shohei with the Angels, he's just the worst at managing Shohei. It's like he has no idea how to manage him at all and he has no feel whatsoever when it comes to Sho and it sucks because it's already the 3rd yr and yet Roberts is still clueless.
