@jabellows “Christ is King” remains the most obvious tell of an absolutely debased and amoral grifter account

Do people who unironically use the word "based" realize that, to most people, it sounds like the exact same sort of obnoxious in-group signaling as unironically using the word "woke"? And that, whatever "based" might have meant in the past, it now just basically means "I think this will piss off the liberals".

@NoblestCalling the most awkward was when I'd visit other wards and the teacher would acknowledge me in class. Nobody cares! It's the stake SS president!

@ASBaird When my dad was in the stake Sunday School presidency he complained that there wasn't anything for him to do lol

I have a strange obsession.
It’s war movies. Have loved them since I was 6-7 according to my parents.

@nihilists4jesus Everyone always tries to claim JS wasn't a prophet because of polygamy or the kinderhook plates or treasure seeking or whatever when the most obvious argument on their side is this one (they're still wrong tho)

@byzantinetx I'm Mormon (and happily so) but if I left, Orthodoxy/Catholicism is the only possible option.

The Mormon takeover and it’s just people raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the family of the guy who shot up our chapel in Michigan.

@jkimballcook I have this guy muted and on the rare occasion that I stumble on something he wrote, I'm taken aback at the intensity of his convictions that his interpretation of how to live the gospel is the only right and righteous one.

I agree as to the first two (with a caveat, see below), but I don't agree that it is unfaithful to ask for a release. Sometimes circumstances change and there's nothing wrong with telling the bishop that.
We should always accept a call, but leaders should not extend a call 1/
Matthew Watkins@ATrueMillennial
I'm revisiting this topic today. Faithful Latter-day Saints serve wherever, whenever, and however they are asked. They do not seek callings, turn down callings, or ask for release.

@ASFleischman Yes yes. Everyone who reads history understands that the Jews have had it easy for most of their history.

@ASFleischman you should have heeded the warnings now a lot of dark shit is gonna come to your doorstep 🤷
English

@bmariner @jkimballcook I mean. Even this exact post is a good example - “faithful” Saints must handle callings in the way he outlines. Ask to be released? Refuse a calling for a good reason? You can’t do those things and be a faithful Saint.

@BlackBlessedLDS this couldn't be more wrong. it's one of the best fast-food burgers out there right now
