@Joshustar We're talking about the cost of the food consumed. So each of the bags of chips cost $1.99 (sale at Smiths) but they'll last us several meals.

@ASBaird Less than $10? I'd like a breakdown, please. I figured $1.59 for the hot dogs and $1.49 for the hot dog buns, provided they are both the budget options. $3.29 x2 for the bags of chips. We can dismiss the condiments since they are multi-use. Not sure about the salad tho...

We’ll hit vegetables hard next week but it’s the last week of school and I wanted to use stuff before it went bad. All-in cost was less than $10 and it took less than 10 minutes.

I work full-time and have four kids and it’s the last week of school and I made my family dinner in less than fifteen minutes and for less than $20 total (including the steak!).

Our youngest daughter was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder - so rare that we can't possibly predict what her outcomes will be or what her life will look like.

"He's a person I've known for a very long time" is hilarious, but it sounds like what he actually says is "... he's, uh, got a very, uh, person I've known a very long time," which is not quite as funny but still a bit weird.

@daily_cowboy I respect this man’s work but those moths do not taste like honey/peanut they are a lot drier than that and they have a weird fishy taste too. The legs and wing powder make for bad eating IMO. The grizzlies are WRONG about moths.

Some reasons why cooking is overwhelming for many: -To cook each cuisine requires different base set of spices, staples, etc -Popular recipes often include obscure, expensive ingredients -Purchasing exact item amts often not possible -Utilizing rest of perishable food challenging

It doesn't take five minutes to whip up a box cake are you a moron or do you have zero concept of time?. First, you have to gather the ingredients for the cake that means going to the store, yes per time efficiency you can add it to your regular grocery shopping list, but it's still at time. Then you must ensure that the work surfaces are clean, and you have the correct pan. Then, after mixing the cake and putting it in the oven, you have to wash those dishes. Then you have to allow the cake to cool. You could do something else during that time., but then you have to frost in it and then clean the supplies you used to do that as well. If you honestly think it takes five minutes to bake a cake I can guarantee you you don't own your own business
