Do people who unironically use the word "based" realize that, to most people, it sounds like the exact same sort of obnoxious in-group signaling as unironically using the word "woke"? @jkimballcook I have this guy muted and on the rare occasion that I stumble on something he wrote, I'm taken aback at the intensity of his convictions that his interpretation of how to live the gospel is the only right and righteous one.

I agree as to the first two (with a caveat, see below), but I don't agree that it is unfaithful to ask for a release. Sometimes circumstances change and there's nothing wrong with telling the bishop that.
We should always accept a call, but leaders should not extend a call 1/

I'm revisiting this topic today. Faithful Latter-day Saints serve wherever, whenever, and however they are asked. They do not seek callings, turn down callings, or ask for release.

@bmariner @jkimballcook I mean. Even this exact post is a good example - “faithful” Saints must handle callings in the way he outlines. Ask to be released? Refuse a calling for a good reason? You can’t do those things and be a faithful Saint.
