Thank you all for your lovely words of support on Tom's reaching six fine years of age. I thought I'd be celebrating with a record take on the trailer bar but it was strangely quiet. Tomorrow will be better. We are resilient and very good at what we do. Got beer, kebab ordered.

Despite the inevitable conference lurgy I'm enjoying my quick stop in Madrid before home. Brilliant to finally get to Reina Sofia to see Picasso's "Horse treading on lego" and Miró's "Batshit crazy bird with a bunch of actual birds" (disclaimer: names *may* not be 100% accurate)

@daisyturnell I completely agree re Miró, I was thinking exactly the same thing as I pottered today. Saw that gloriously grotesque Goya last time i was here (20 yrs ago), so didn't fit it in this time. Did love it!
