@techAU For EV owners Engie are still doing 10c uncapped export in QLD at least. Not sure how they can afford it, must be costing a bomb for large solar exporters like us

Solar feed in tariffs have dropped significantly. This means solar homes are getting paid almost nothing for providing substantial amounts of energy to the grid (aka energy providers). Someone is laughing all the way to the bank there. Home owners would now have to invest again in battery storage to avoid giving free power to the utilities.

It seems hard to believe now, but in the not-so-distant past, Australians installing solar panels on their roofs were once handsomely rewarded. ab.co/41TnhbL

@NeverCher @gabnot @broseph_stalin China are significantly ahead in the green energy space in every way. Manufacturing, technology, deployment, export, storage. The USA had a chance but it was squandered by uncontrolled greed by your legacy energy industry. And now with Trump USA will slide further into the abyss

For those confused why the US state and Silicon Valley are having a meltdown on twitter today. China released multiple AI models that are 50x more efficient than the best American AI models and made them open source, ruining the AI market

@sydney_ev Hopefully it’s better than the lane keep assist and other ADAS features in the current BYD line up which are… lacking

Tesla, the competition IS coming real fast now... BYD to introduce autonomous driving tech to all models this year. IM L6 with 1200km range solid state battery option... almost all EVs now with V2L, Tesla removes 12 volt power.. Tesla moats slowly drying up. #unpopularopinion. carsguide.com.au/car-news/how-b…

@CLE_1A @leRaffl The majority of drivers don’t care about weight or acceleration as long as it’s not significantly slower than average. Plenty of BYDs selling like hotcakes globally

@leRaffl Important to note is that still the Chinese build too heavy cars, not competitive to Tesla. So globally not yet optimized being an EV, except for charging/battery apparatus. I see Chinese brands at same level of traditional car makers with the "luxury" decor, exactly like them.

I'm sitting in one brand after the other at Vienna Drive today and one thing is for sure: I underestimated how big a problem OEMs have. What I can see from Korea and China is really good! OEMs are so fucked 🫠

@kurtispm8 @WallStreetApes Solar panels on a vehicle are too small to generate any significant charge. It’s a nice dream but has been tried and doesn’t work. As to infrastructure, did you have the same opposition to gas installs when horses were used?

If they really wanted to help the environment, they would create solar powered vehicles, but then it wouldn’t be a boondoggle like electric vehicles and the whole infrastructure needed to switch to electric vehicles. It’s just the latest way for the rich to get richer by investing in the latest scam on the people.

Amazon electric vehicles seen charging in the snow All these vehicles are being charged by a huge diesel generator. The generator is on, you can hear it running providing the power “Doesn’t that defeat the purpose when you literally have a diesel powered generator electrifying all of the electric vehicles?” This is Democrat’s “Green Energy.”

80,000 people told to evacuate. Blazes 0% contained. Eight months since the area has seen rain. The scale of damage and loss is unimaginable. Climate change is real, not “a hoax.” Donald Trump must treat this like the existential crisis it is.

As the saying goes: “Every day in China you see something you don’t see every day.” > 4,000 closed dealerships > $24 billion in losses. > And 2025 could be tougher. Competition in China - brutal. scmp.com/business/china…

@DoctorEisinger @KatyKray73 This is incorrect. There is a relationship between CO2 and plants. Some do better, others worse with higher concentrations. However it’s a small range before it’s detrimental to all

@KatyKray73 FYI: CO2 is plant food. So it doesn't matter how much is in the atmosphere. Plus, it's at a geological all-time low. It was 20% eons ago and across several Ice Ages... Question: why is everybody ignoring POLLUTION?

Australia is at 1.1% of the world’s Carbon Emissions. Why are we destroying our country in order to achieve Net Zero? Why do we still prop up and supply other countries with our resources while we slide into poverty? Net Zero is a climate scam and our government must stop this nonsense!

Congratulations Labor, you've done it again. You've just made everyone worse off for a problem that doesn't exist using technology that doesn't work. Mainstream Aussies understand that climate change is a scam to rip more money from our wallets so that you can give it to your mates. Bastards the lot of you #auspol

@MaulingWallSt Manufacturers can just make the cars more efficient to stop Australia being their dumping ground for garbage vehicles. No different to how the Ceaserstone et all screamed about the high-silica ban then magically had a solution overseas already but dumped here

@BoschAustralia your staff are blocking @Tesla chargers at The Ginger Factory in Yandina (Queensland). Not an accident either - they’ve pulled the cable out and jammed it into the ute. What’s Bosch company policy on this?

BYD says it is on track to do what no automaker has ever done before: Increase sales from 400,000 to 4 million in just 4 years. One thing to watch: are customers inside and outside of China going to absorb a full 4 million this year? Or will there be some inventory build up here and there?
