I first met Hon. Nalubega Fausta in 2022. I gave her my time, and later I came to understand the kind of woman she is — one whose name you do not joke with, especially when it comes to @HEBobiwine, #PeoplePower, and the values of NUP. She does not tolerate anyone who undermines these principles. She is a straightforward and hardworking woman who loves her country deeply. She feels real pain when speaking about how the dictator is treating Ugandans, and she has no patience for pretenders. When it comes to standing up against Museveni and his agents, she is genuine and unwavering. All you need is to give her your time, listen to her stories, and follow closely what she is doing — then you will understand her pain. I wish you the best, my friend. As we head into the upcoming elections, I would proudly choose Hon. Who is @NajjaNasiif ; the man shaking Wakiso District The incumbent Speaker of Wakiso District Najja Nasiif has become the beacon of hope and he is perceived to be the true representative of the oppressed people. In his current portfolio, Najja has been vocal on the social, political and economic affairs of his jurisdiction. When the Kiteezi landfill killed dozens of people. Najja worked tooth and nail to see that these people get justice and compensation. He wrote letters to the central government and questioned their negligence that had cost lives. On the plight of political prisoners, Najja joined other his fellow speakers and they stormed the streets to demand for the release of all the people who are in detention on politically motivated charges. Najja is a voice for the downtrodden, and once he's catapulted to the governor portfolio, it is obvious that he will speak for the marginalized and continue to be a servant leader. We have received more candidates aspiring to hold our party flag on different elective positions. We are now two days away from closing the exercise that will come to an end on June 23rd. On today’s youth elections we have received multiple reports of malpractice and state inspired violence. Many of our candidates and voters were excluded from the registers, and several have been brutalized by security operatives and some goons who were deployed by the regime to disrupt the process and aid the vote rigging. At some polling stations within Wakiso and Kampala voting did not happen at all with voters being told that voting had ended as early as 6am. This alone depicts a regime too desperate and afraid of paving space for transparent elections! Despite all this, we were able to win massively in areas where comrades demonstrated resilience! #PeoplePowerOurPower #NUPEverywhere
