@14Ram My money is on metering rolls being too coarse for the seeding rate. Causing slug feeding, more seed per foot of row cause the oats to be taller (due to competition) were extra seed rate. Catches your eye and gives the wave appearance.

Help me out folks. It looks like I’m seeing some waves in the oats that I’m killing off today. I’m assuming it’s from the air seeder metering rolls, but I don’t notice it in wheat. Just low volume makes it noticeable? Any fixes other than spiral meters? JD 1890 cart for reference

1-The rumours are true!! We are having a sale. My son Kelly and I are choosing to focus our efforts on the poultry side of our operation. I have a recurring health issue that is helping w this decision. 5 yrs ago we built our 1st barn and plan to build the 4th in near future..

@MCSLHartung @MitchpRTaggie Both are imprinted in my memory banks as reference years. 1988 had a June frost followed by extreme heat. I learned what locked limit markets meant. New for Dufferin boy back then. 1992 learned about a different kind of crop failure and destroying corn crop with hydro poles

@MitchpRTaggie 1988 and 1992 are years I was alive, have no actual memory of them, but feel like I do through stories from my dad and others

1988 was the year I showed up. It comes up quite often at morning coffee about the drought.
