VLA 2.0 conquered 10 extreme safety scenarios: Disappearing lead cars. Children appearing at intersections. Crashed vehicles in dense fog. Highways. Cities. Severe weather. It passed every single one. That’s VLA 2.0. ✅ $XPEV

Interesting, this change in starship approach with 5 instead of 6 engines, was it automatic or were there literally engineers flying the thing with manual controls? Can imagine this is will be a really life fallback strategy, maybe also with 3 or 4 engines. Worst case scenario, is there a backup chute or a way for people to jump out (with a chute) at low ish altitude if necessary?

I thought I'd try to illustrate how Starship 39 made up for a less than optimal sub-orbital insertion and lower-than-planned perigee by using aerodynamics during re-entry to extend its downrange flight profile and make an on-target landing in the Indian Ocean. The ship used a combination of Angle-of Attack (AOA) changes, the flaps and body of the ship as lifting surfaces to manage the total drag forces to "fly" a longer distance, all while managing plasma heating & velocity decreases to prepare for the landing burn. @SpaceX had to do this because of the loss of the one RVAC at about the 3:03 mark just after hot staging, resulting in the remaining 5 engines to compensate and burn longer. Impressive example of the Avionics, Navigation & Control used with Starship! Check out this short video clip with illustrations & information along the way! I hope you find this informative!

SpaceX (fully aware of an impending IPO) set up drones specifically to capture this fireball and chose to livestream it. Let that sink in.

They were both a little grumpy tbh, especially Lucy. I’m from the Uk but they seemed pretty anti US, and didn’t really want to be there. James’ reputation alone is not enough to save it Suggest James goes to Holland or somewhere to do a proper FSD review, with a different companion

Understand why Tesla bulls can switch to bears, especially given missed timelines, and new focus on SpaceX. But a Robotaxi is not a ‘tulip’, and what if they really do scale, after having worked >10 years to get to get to this point? Could it be that Elon’s fascination with new toys is because is autonomy is solved and deployment, compared to innovation, is boring by comparison?

Some wonder why this account turned so negative on certain topics. It's simple: it comes down to deep disappointment about certain individuals. What is clear is that there is going to be one of the largest one-shot wealth transfers from mostly average folks (middle income) to already super rich investors, not due to merit but due to pure financial engineering. Most people don't understand the mechanism. This does not sit well with me and fundamentally reshaped my view of certain individuals. What I see is a huge money grab in a longer term struggle for power and domination. "Ignorance is bliss" has never been more true.

XPENG has officially rolled out what it says is China’s first mass-produced robotaxi as they continue to pursue commercialization of autonomous driving technology. While many companies are still operating limited pilot programs, XPENG is taking a manufacturing-first approach by producing robotaxis at scale and preparing them for commercial deployment. Key takeaways: - Mass production of autonomous vehicles is now underway - Designed specifically for ride-hailing and mobility services - Built around XPENG’s autonomous driving technology stack - Highlights the rapid pace of robotaxi development in China - Could accelerate the transition from testing programs to commercial operations The robotaxi race is no longer just about developing self-driving technology. It's increasingly about who can manufacture, deploy, and operate autonomous fleets at scale. Here's a short video summary covering the announcement and what it could mean for the future of autonomous transportation.

A delightful talk with @TheEconomist . Innovation often looks impossible — until it isn't. XPENG builds humanoid robots, flying cars, and smarter vehicles on the same belief: If no one has done it differently, we will.

Chinese software-entrepreneur-turned-EV-darling @xiaopenghexpeng has a nose for the next big thing. His humanoids, flying cars and robotaxis are now revving up for mass production after years of R&D. For @TheEconomist, I spoke with him about his AI gamble economist.com/china/2026/05/…

I condemn the deadly attack on a mosque in San Diego. My thoughts are with those affected. I know many Muslims in the UK will be shaken by this, worried about their safety when going about their lives and attending mosque, and what it says about the times we’re living in. I understand those fears. Violence like this does not happen in a vacuum. It grows in an environment where division and anti-Muslim hostility are normalised. That is intolerable. We must all come together against it.

Though smaller than last year, the Unite the Kingdom march over the weekend was still sickening. The resurgence of out-and-out racism in the UK, from demands for remigration of British Asians to Antisemitic slurs on placards at both demonstrations, demands we meet this moment.

Canvassing this morning in Makerfield, stood at the side of the road, a van slowed down as it passed me. The men in it were looking at my Restore Britain fleece. I waved them down and they wound down the window. 'Have you heard of Rupert Lowe', I said. 'We sure have', they replied, 'and we're right behind him'. I gave them a handful of leaflets to share with their mates, spreading the gospel. They were very enthusiastic for change. Restore Britain is the hope for all working people, who are desperate to escape the tax burden that is crippling their lives. We can win this by-election. Give it everything you've got, WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.

We are improving the 0.5T Grok foundation model V8 (public version 4.3) every few days. The 1.5T V9 just finished training (incorrectly called pre-training) and is a major upgrade. Next, we are adding the Cursor data in supplemental training (others call this mid-training), then SFT and RL. About 3 or 4 weeks to release. This will be a banger.

I have no problem with Islam. I’m just against beheading, stoning, marrying little girls, sexual slavery, taqiyya, slave trading, rape, forced conversions, jihad, burqa, attacking other religions, child abuse, women abuse, animal abuse, multiple wives, murder, Sharia, terrorism, brainwashing, intolerance, greed, anti-science, torture, illiteracy, gluttony, genital mutilation, inbreeding. Does that make me Islamophobic?
