Labor governments have been sheepishly saying 'ah well OF COURSE you'd always love to do more', and then never doing more, for more than 30 years!

Labor went into last election with a promise of “nobody left behind”. They’re not just leaving us behind, they’re making sure we never get ahead. This election, let’s hold them to that promise.

While the cost of living is hitting people the hardest, giving people who are struggling on welfare payments NOTHING is appalling. People are starving on poverty payments — all payments need to be raised above the poverty line as an immediate priority.

Labor has disappointed us time and time again but this is the biggest slap in the face. They had an opportunity to show the big changes they could make for welfare recipients in Australia if elected for a 2nd term. With this Budget, they have instead chosen cruelty yet again.

There is literally nothing for people in poverty in this budget. What an absolute joke. Had very low bar, but somehow they managed to go even lower than the lowest bar.

@JeremyPoxon @SquigglyRick @AusUnemployment @antipovertycent @ej_australia When I had my payment cut off unlawfully in 2021 and 2022 it was by an accumulation of unlawful suspensions. Appointments are routinely set for recipients by large companies outside of the requirements of legislation, it's an essential component of their business models by now.
