@KiltOfLove Following you in response to your response in the Libs Of Ticktock thread concerning trans in the military. I was impressed by the way you conveyed your argument. I am also more impressed by your guidance to your daughter in ROTC. It all comes down to quality leadership.

I just had a real heart to heart with my daughter who's an MS-3 in Auburn University Army ROTC. The topic was in ref to the Space Force general & the Navy Admiral who've run afoul of both Army regulations and common sense in recently bad-mouthing the chain of command. My concern was to re-assure myself that she has a firm grasp on why officers keep their mouths shut regarding politics and (happily) she clearly does. She isn't really hip to the legalities just now, which is perfectly okay for someone at her stage of training - but she told me that she's had it drilled into her the nature of what she may & may not say while in uniform, and how she also views it as a matter of personal integrity not just as a matter of law but as a requirement of an ethical officer in a civilian-led military. And...she has a healthy sense of self-preservation about who she will spend time with as a soon-to-be junior officer. I was happy to give her some practical advice about getting along with officers, friends, & family members who have different political outlooks but the truth is that she'll have to feel her way out about her new branch of Service just like any other 2nd Lt. She'll be graduating in Dec. '26 - a recent change of major tacked another semester on her collegiate career. But she is giving serious consideration to becoming a teacher once she finishes her Army obligation (if she chooses not to pursue a military career). I can't say I hate the thought of all the young lives she'll touch in the future - through one or another career. She joined the AL National Guard a few months ago to help earn spending $$. She's in an MP unit now and plans to follow in her dad's footsteps by branching MP when she's an MS-4. Really - between my partner Sheila who loves me all out of proportion to what I'm really worth and my daughter who is doing everything she can to start off a successful Army career with intelligence, tact, & grace...I'm genuinely blessed. I never did anything to deserve the love of the two most important women in my life but I'm so glad I have it. The oddest thing about seeing Emily in BDUs with "GIBSON" on her chest is forgetting that she's not wearing Daddy's uniform - she's rocking her own! I'm posting these in case anyone wants to see the family resemblance! 😀

@courrielche Based on what metric? Either he (it) succeeds or he (it) doesn't. The message (nothing new to many of us) relayed on a new platform with potentially new viewers hopefully for the duration is what needs to be highlighted.

My take on Tucker's Twitter debut: meh 1) Viewership: Although his Twitter "views" seems like a lot...I suspect (with some similar data in mind) that the number that actually watched the video was smaller than the number of people that "liked" his tweet. Considerably smaller. 2) Production: The sound quality was hollow, meaning he didn't sound proof the studio. The Blaze and the Daily Wire do a better job (but with time, I'm sure he'll fix this). 3) Monetization: How can anyone expect to sustain a free show/podcast on Twitter when Twitter has no way to significantly monetize it? This must be fixed for this site to be a viable content creator platform. 4) Content: I wasn't wowed by the content...but I'm sure Tucker will fix this. All-in-all Tucker's debut on Twitter was a bit concerning. His viewership was drastically reduced compared to Fox News (this is true so don't reply with "but the viewzzz"), there's no monetizable model for a free show (yet) and the production/content was mediocre. I'm rooting for him and am sure it'll improve sooner rather than later.
