“There is something poetic about a 39 year old man winning new artist of the year…and I don’t know where you are at in your life or what you’re going through… I want to tell you to keep going, baby… I want to tell you success is on the other side of it. I want to tell you it’s gonna be okay I want to tell you that the windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror for a reason. Because what’s in front of you is so much more important than what’s behind you!” -Jelly Roll

Sean McVay nailed the job description. Be an elevator. Lift people to their highest potential. That's it. That's leadership. 🔥

Steve Nash once delivered 239 high fives, fist bumps, and pats on the back in a single game. Not by accident. Connection fuels performance.

Your legacy isn’t what you achieved, but what you left behind. What you’re remembered for matters. How you treat people, the lessons you taught, the values you instilled. Those are the things worth being remembered for. Eventually champions are forgotten, trophies collect dust, records are broken and memories fade. Winning beyond the game is the biggest thing. It’s bigger than you. It’s about others and the impact you had in their lives and in generations. People won’t always remember what you said, but they’ll remember how you made them feel. Always remember people are more important than a task. That’s servant leadership. That’s a legacy worth leaving.

"What's the biggest difference between the athletes who WIN vs the ones that don't?" Answer: They have a WINNING story running in their head, all the time - Too good not to share, sending to all my hitters (repeatedly)

Sunken Diamond. A truly surreal experience today. 12 years ago I worked my very first camp as a collegiate coach. I had been coaching for four days, fresh out of being an average Division III baseball player. Today I return to the field as a Division I Head Coach. Hard to not think about all the lessons I have learned throughout the journey to this point, and I am grateful for the players and coaches who have shaped me along the way!
