After attending the Cardano and Midnight Summit; I wanted to share a few thoughts:
1. The market is uncertain, lots of signs pointing up and an almost equal number of factors that point to caution. During times of near term volatility it is important to zoom out and ensure your North Star remains valid. At EMURGO, I am certain of it. I share the same point of view for Cardano and after attending Midnight's Summit - it is clear that they are resolute in their vision as well.
2. Lots has also been said about EMURGO's role going forward (and what we've done or not done in the past). What I can share is that there are good things ahead (and you won't have to wait too long)... substantive discussions are well underway with key infrastructure players that are happening in a multi-lateral format. The Founding Entities and Intersect (as well as strong community members, DReps, CC, and projects) are working towards making Cardano stronger. Sharing more details now would be counter-productive to the conversations underway and whilst I know it's not what you want to hear... it is the reality for enterprise grade partnership negotiations. We are grateful for your patience (and it is not lost on us that you've been beyond patient). Good things are coming.
3. The state of Cardano is strong and the community passion continues to grow. What clearly differentiates us is our technology, our community, our governance, and increasingly our positioning ourselves as the enterprise / institutional blockchain of choice. Cardano has always been 'up and to the right'... we are in it for the long run.
4. Thank you to everyone who approached me and asked tough questions. I enjoyed meeting many community members who were until this past week just a PFP on X. For those of you who would like to engage further, EMURGO will be at India Blockchain Week at the end of November where hundreds of developers will be participating our "hackathon".
5. Lastly, I understand there will always be some in the community who remain dissatisfied with EMURGO and will continue to 'press us' on doing more. It's the nature of X (and understood) but I hope to meet you in person at one of the Unified Marketing events we are hosting in 2025 and 2026 to share my vision. As I say, Cardano is stronger together than divided.
