If Essendon even considers James Hird to be their coach again after all this time, it would underscore what a backward dysfunctional organisation it is and its sheer inability to let go of the past. Hird hasn’t coached for 11 years and he didn’t even demonstrate that he had what it took to become a super coach in his time in the job! The Bombers need to stop the obsession with past greats or they will continue to go nowhere. The club has to embrace the future and bring in the best guy for the job who has recently been involved at club land for a lengthy period of time

If you’re a tradie running his own business for 10 years and decide to sell, the Capital gains on the sale will be lumped on top of your existing base wage for that year pushing you straight into the 47% category. That’s years worth of hard fought gains lumped into a single tax year. Even a modest gain on an investment property sale will do the same thing. Same with hard fought years of gains if investing in stocks. The government has made it clear, that they want 47% of your gains. And to rub salt into younger Australians wounds, it specifically applied to all new businesses, property and stock investments.

You'll never pay 47% tax on nominal capital gains. Top marginal rates pay effective rate of 27.3% on 5yr hold 30.1% on 10yr hold One of the lowest rates in the world. Other countries tax the whole gain, Australia doesnt. Facts matter over your ideological game.
