I was more coming from the angle of the odds of a match involving two fan bases living near stadium is far higher then any other sport. Even the NRL Sydney grouping is spread far wider meaning less likely to get away team.

@AaronIBryant @footyindustryAU So most of the teams only get to draw on the same small subset of Australia's population. Sounds like a disadvantage for attendance numbers.

Notes 1. Yes, AFL is by far the most attended league in the country and its not even close. 2. No, AFL is not even close to being the most played sport in the country. For team sports its Soccer....and its not even close. 3. By the long standing and industry accepted tradition of average audiences, its not - the league leader is the NRL. By hours watched and audience reach, then yes it is. Theres a not completely unreasonable argument that most viewers = total viewers of a broadcast (or Reach), instead of the preferred most viewers = most average viewers across a broadcast - and this is the standard being pushed by Seven and Oztam (VOZ) since 2023.

Sorry for posting about Jacinda Ardern so much. It just really boggles the mind to me that people just hate her so much. It’s much more than for other politicians and, for whatever reason, I just don’t think she is really a bad person at heart.

My sense of Jacinda Ardern is that every step of the way she genuinely thought she was doing the right thing for the country and being a responsible leader.

@PronouncedHare We one uses public office for the sole purpose of enhancing ones own brand, any blowback they recieve as consequence is self inflicted.

I do genuinely feel bad for Jacinda Ardern having to live in what’s effectively an exile overseas. All former leaders are going to cop it in public but her autobiography really makes it clear that she found disapproval by members of the public really hard. And I sincerely believe that for some people, that would be a really, really difficult way to go about your life.
