📣 Today I’m excited to share an IMPORTANT update on where we’re headed with VR & Worlds. Over the past year, we’ve listened to feedback from developers and creators. One thing was clear: both communities needed more focus and clearer direction. Starting in 2026, VR & Worlds will operate as two distinct platforms: - VR is focused on third-party developers, with the Meta Horizon Store restructured around apps and games instead of Worlds. - Worlds is going mobile-first, with dedicated tools to build for mobile. @bjnortier using HT 2.6.12’s small English model, coreML enabled, on iPhone 14 pro max. Loading the model spins infinitely (eventually my phone locks). What’s the expected load time on first boot?

@danfinlay @MetaMask Yeah, the NFT space is already scary and not really friendly to newbies. Fake websites with fake mint buttons are really common (and it’s easy to miss details when FOMO kicks in). Embarrassed to say I speak from experience (but sometimes it’s OK to learn things the hard way).

@MetaMask Small feature idea: If you changed the "Mint" logo/icon on a mint txn to be larger and maybe colorful (mint green?) maybe people would get used to seeing it when minting NFTs, and think 2x when they see a send txn vs mint txn (e.g. a common scam). Would help!

This is a harmless ground spider (family Gnaphosidae), #NotARecluse. Note the prominent, barrel-shaped spinnerets sticking out the back end, which are characteristic of this family.
