Gombe is my second home too, and I’ll always select Prof Pantami over any of the current candidates!
His records speak for him, there’s no doubt about it!
People can rant but malam is clear, except if we are being hypocritical about our call for good leadership.

Gombe is my second home, and it has a history of electing good governors. Unfortunately, Governor Inuwa Yahya has chosen Isyaku Gwamna, who is said to have been involved in the mismanagement of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company when he was MD, over an academic and successful politician, Prof. Ali Pantami, a former minister. The same way some people believe he performed poorly while serving as MD of KEDCO, critics argue that he may not be suitable for governor in Gombe State. The state deserves better, and the likes of Prof. Pantami should rule the state.

Parties are all bad. But APC is the absolute worst presently. It's the one in charge, and has the blood of Nigerians on its hands.

Last week, I messaged Saleh @AshakaSaleh when I noticed he hadn’t been active for a while. I reached out out of concern, but my message didn’t deliver. I assumed he was resting, especially since I knew his physician had advised him to take time off. So I didn’t push further, believing he would respond once he was back on his phone.
But deep down, I knew this wasn’t the Saleh I knew. He would never stay silent like that, and my messages not delivering made me even more worried. On Thursday, just three days ago, I reached out to his close ally, Hamzat Lawal @HamzyCODE. He told me he would look into it and get back to me.
Then, today I received a call from Suraj Bamalli @SurajBamalli. He said he had been hearing that Saleh had passed away and wanted to confirm if it was true.
That moment broke me.
This is the most heartbreaking moment I have experienced in over a decade.
