Most people in BJP already know that Narendra Modi Government is on really shaky ground and it's a matter of time before it comes apart. Few are holding on to the belief that a miracle will turn things around... they will get a lesson in blind faith soon.

JUST IN: Record breaking result in Falta Repoll in West Bengal. -BJP’s highest win margin from across state (109021) -surpasses earlier highest win margin at Naxalbari (104265) -in 2021, BJP won only one seat in areas where Muslim population crossed 30% (87/89 such seats were won by TMC) -in 2026, BJP has won Falta where Muslim voters make up 35% of population -CPM comes in at second position. Muslim votes shifting to CPM -Cong gets only 10k votes as compared to over 40K by CPM -TMC’s Jahangir Khan gets less than 8000 votes, at 4th place. Compare this with what happened here in 2023, 2024 (screenshot attached) -this is in Abhishek Banerjee’s Lok Sabha seat of Diamond Harbour

@aravind Do you think revolution is possible for a diverse country like India?

I think the CJP is heading towards becoming an offline political movement with a different name, no matter the bans on their SM handles by the GoI. That's fine in a democracy as long as it remains peaceful and lawful. But the issue is, I fear, that the movement and their politics will be launched out of Gen-Z protests and anarchy. This is the 'familiar path' the USDS takes to push new politics in democracies whenever they find gaps - like in India, where GenZ are disillusioned with both the government and the opposition over their issues. The DS do this to try dilute control in a democracy like India and make it their politically weak, economically malleable large market. Nothing good ever comes out of such revolutions. Things only become worse for the target country. Gen-Z must just look at countries around India - Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives - to understand how such revolutions to overthrow their existing govts ruined their economies and stalled even the little bit of development they had. The DS always start with the destabilization of the existing political power structure by exploiting the right timing - like now where they may be temporary issues caused by global crises and AI-driven job losses. And by doing massive psyops to instigate the public. Which is what I believe they are doing now. I may be wrong, but some patterns are hard to miss. Their strategy is to use local issues (some of which may even be created by sabotage) along with global crises to instigate their target population and turn it into their political base. In 2012, they tried the same thing. They used issues like corruption and crimes to agitate the public, amplifying their discomfort with the then INC government many times above normal levels. All done to weaken the existing political power structures and launch nationwide movements and protests to enable the DS's political push. But fortunately, one nationalist had already captured the gap among Indians by then, much to their disappointment. He derailed their plans, even though they tried to stop him using all means possible. They could never really recover after that to capture India nationally. The man and his government have derailed their plans ever since. Their enabled political movement and party couldn't become pan-national as they had imagined. Now, they are sensing another gap and an opportunity to relaunch their mission using another movement, with another set of protests and anarchy, this time targeting a new generation to dilute India politically so that we end up with weak, malleable coalition governments. Some say this is going to be done by fully utilizing Meta platforms and Reddit - their favorite tools for mass psyops and political upheaval around the world. By now it's just hard to miss how these two companies seem to turn a blind eye to meddling in democracies by some actors. Experts claim they work hand in glove by allowing millions of bots, paid follower scams, AI fake videos, and tuning their algos to favor certain narratives.
Aravind@aravind

Meta platforms are making or breaking elections in India. FB, Insta, and Whatsapp can now win elections for some, and make some lose. That's their power. 2024 lower than expected seats for NDA & 2026 performance by TVK, both were a result of Meta's algorithms. And Meta is...

Released our Q4 FY26 Shareholders’ Letter here: bit.ly/3RxJRoU FY26 volumes were lower than where we want them to be, but FY26 was also the year in which the fundamentals of the company became much stronger. We exited the year with industry-leading gross margins, a much lower cost base, sharply better service metrics, improving product quality, our first operating cash-flow positive quarter, and a Gigafactory now entering scale-up. This comes at a time when India’s energy-security moment is here. The next few years will be defined by two shifts happening together: mobility moving from ICE to EV, and energy moving from imported fuels to locally made batteries. Ola is building across both — electric mobility, cell manufacturing and energy storage — on one integrated platform. In Q4, consolidated gross margin reached 38.5%, up from 34.3% in Q3 and 13.7% last year. This is now an industry-leading margin profile, ahead of most 2W OEMs including ICE incumbents. It reflects our structural advantages: vertical integration, Gen 3 maturity, pricing architecture and downstream control. Q4 was also our first operating cash-flow positive quarter. Consolidated CFO was ₹91 crore. Auto delivered ₹213 crore CFO and ₹173 crore FCF. Ola is now moving from heavy build-out to disciplined scale-up. We have reset the cost base. Consolidated opex reduced from ₹844 crore in Q4 FY25 to ₹428 crore in Q4 FY26, with a path towards ₹350 crore per quarter over the next couple of quarters. Execution has improved meaningfully. Service TAT is down 88%, same-day closures are at ~87%, parts pendency is down 69%, and Gen 3 warranty cost is 70% lower than Gen 2. As execution improved, sales have started responding. April registrations were up 20% MoM while the broader E2W industry declined more than 22%. We are working towards rebuilding national market share to 15–20% over the next six months. For Q1 FY27, we expect 40,000–45,000 orders and consolidated revenue of ₹500–550 crore, nearly double Q4 levels. As volumes recover, we expect the auto business to move towards Adjusted Operating EBITDA and free cash flow positivity through FY27. Roadster is becoming our second growth engine. Motorcycles are India’s largest 2W category and EV penetration remains very low. Ola now has 50% market share in electric motorcycles, and bikes contributed 15% of April gross orders. With up to 9.1 kWh battery and 500+ km certified range, Roadster is built for range, performance and reliability. The Gigafactory is entering the scale phase. We have 2.5 GWh operational capacity. Installation to 6 GWh is largely complete, with commercialisation to be completed by the end of this quarter. Our 4680 Bharat Cell is already commercialised and deployed in vehicles. Around 15% of orders are already from products using our own cells, and we plan to transition the full vehicle portfolio to own cells by September 2026. The same battery platform opens the next large opportunity: energy storage. Shakti is entering the market with 50k+ customer leads and strong B2B interest across telecom, petrol pumps, retail, dark stores and commercial backup. Mahashakti is being developed for C&I and utility-scale storage. Ola is positioned across the two most important pillars of India’s energy future: electric mobility and batteries. Vehicles create captive demand for the Gigafactory. Cells improve our vehicles through range, cost and supply-chain control. The same platform opens energy storage through Shakti and Mahashakti. The heavy build phase is behind us. The next phase is disciplined scale. FY27 is about recovering volumes, sustaining service consistency, holding margin leadership, reducing opex, ramping the Gigafactory, and scaling Shakti and Mahashakti.

🇮🇳 Tesla is walking away from India after years of stalled negotiations, and the government's broken promises are a big reason why. India offered tariff relief tied to a $500 million manufacturing commitment. When Tesla engaged, the goalposts kept moving. With existing plants at 60% capacity, the math stopped making sense. India gets to keep the showrooms selling imported Teslas, but the factory goes elsewhere. Source: Teslarati

Yesterday it was the Norwegian journalist, today there is that cockroach Instagram handle. It’s the case of whatever sticks. After the loss of Bengal, there is a space to grow anti incumbency due to Post-war economic hardships. But these efforts, need to be steered by credible leaders. The issue with opposition is a severe supply crunch of leaders who haven’t lost an election recently.
