I don’t want anyone forcing their religion down my throat, and I certainly don’t want the government forcing a religion down my throat.
I’m a Christian, but I know that the most dangerous form of government is theocracy. Because the only thing worse than a tyrant is a tyrant who thinks they’re on a mission from God.

@rothschildmd @pjvanerp The only moving parts in his talk are the moves he is making to reposition himself. Either Tucker lacks the insight he claims as a commentator, or he is a calculated opportunist. In the first instance he deserves no further attention, in the second no trust.

Tucker Carlson's "apology" has a lot of moving parts, but ultimately it boils down to:
A. He genuinely feels duped and betrayed by Trump
B. He knows his audience also feels duped and betrayed by Trump, and needs to keep them happy so they keep watching his show and buying his products
C. He knows Trump is a lame duck bleeding support, and there is no risk to opposing him because he's part of a bigger crowd of disaffected Trumpers opposing him
D. He knows Trump-hating liberals will give him credence as an "enemy of my enemy," and that he can draw them in with apologizing for his Trump support
E. He knows many of these leftists are anti-Israel, and that he can radicalize them with hardcore antisemitism and conspiracy theories in the guise of being "anti-war"
F. He knows Trump's base will be up for grabs once Trump is off the stage, and this is his chance to make a play for it
G. He knows he can flip back to supporting Trump if he needs to, because none of these people have the slightest continuity in their beliefs

Tucker Carlson is not our friend. He should not be welcome into civilized society as if he did nothing wrong. We can happily watch the MAGA movement self-destruct without mistaking Tucker as a good person. In 2021, while still at Fox News, Tucker Carlson privately texted about how much he hated Trump. Private texts also revealed that he knew the 2020 election was not stolen from Trump. Tucker would then go on air and say the exact opposite to 10s of millions of Americans: that Trump was the best president ever and that Dominion voting machines were totally rigged. He intentionally told destructive lies to Americans en masse for career gain & profit. He would do the exact same today, just from a different angle. Tucker Carlson helped mainstream the Great Replacement Theory by planting the seeds into millions of Americans heads on primetime Fox News. Tucker Carlson doesn't genuinely care about human rights, or the 'sanctity of Islam'. Remember, the enemy of your enemy is not ALWAYS your friend...

Onnavolgbaar. Partijen die zeggen streng asielbeleid te willen, maar tegenstemmen als het erop aankomt. Dit was hét moment om beide strenge asielwetten aan te nemen. De Eerste Kamer heeft helaas de wet weggestemd die o.a. strafbaarstelling illegaliteit regelt. PVV frustreert, D66 stemt tegen. In het landsbelang moet alle inzet erop gericht zijn hier alsnog snel op te leveren. En laat dit opnieuw het bewijs zijn dat de PVV strenger asielbeleid dus nooit écht wil regelen.

If Jared Kushner is going to play diplomat on behalf of the United States, then he needs to meet the same standards as actual diplomats. That means full disclosure, divestment from foreign financial interests, and a real security vetting process.
Instead, we’ve got a guy who couldn’t secure a clearance without intervention, now entangled in billions from Middle Eastern governments, operating with zero transparency.
He’s unelected. He’s unconfirmed. And he’s making decisions with global consequences.
He’s not there on merit. He’s there because he married into power. That’s not diplomacy. That’s nepotism with a security risk attached.
