@GeorgeCochrane1 I shall channel my inner Frank Cannon and go for the Lincoln 😊

My money is still on Pogi to win this stage profile..
Who would challenge?
@ChrisSidwells @PhilLiggett @TamauPogi @vismaleaseabike
@seixas_paul

English

@DaveWhite99 @GeorgeCochrane1 The Scirocco leading the way, reserved a D will bring back good memories
English

@Bazza_G1 @ShamiKalra 'Before' doing a lot of heavy lifting there
English

@ShamiKalra Does seem a sad state of affairs at the moment. I dearly want Aston to succeed before Fernando decides he has had enough.
English

@lukascph Our dedicated women's U23 team is one of very few, the current rush to the top tier results in a top heavy structure that is short term. Build a few U23 races, then add a stage race, then add l'Avenir once a structure is formed.
We did a 1.1 in '25, 87/136 riders were U23..
English

It's a chicken-and-egg problem: Without U23 races, why should U23 teams be set up - and without U23 teams, who should participate in U23 races?
How can this circle be squared?

Tour de l'Avenir Femmes cancelled for 2026 as organisers say 'women's under-23 teams are currently not numerous or structured enough' cyclingnews.com/pro-cycling/wo…

@Lawton_Times What a terrible, lazy take.
Define fan Matt. What does it take in your opinion then?

Chapeau @BBCSport @robwalkertv for the Biathlon scenes and coverage, brilliant entertainment and great sport. In a great games, these events are a standout.

Can anyone tell me why the French Cockerel is facing the left sleeve on their rugby shirt now? In other sports and previously facing right? Curious.

@laflammerouge16 With teams branded as per corporate sponsors..innovative or die
English

We are now one step away from "PIF Tour de France" or "Giro d'Italia Coca-Cola".
Monuments and Grand Tour names shouldn't be touched.
Brian Nygaard@nygaardbn
No it’s not. It’s known as Paris-Roubaix.

I'm always surprised how surprised I am at how great Mount Panorama is @RSL_Studio

So @BBCSport a question for Ed and Tim.
If height on half pipe is critical to scores, when are more aero suits going to be worn? Higher speed equals greater height, baggy clothes only holding them back surely?

@LUDENClassics @hjwakerley Blue black, with black 2.5/16, nearly bought one from our dealership '98. Another miss.
English

@DaveWhite99 @LUDENClassics Almandine, such a lovely colour on a 190E. The straight six is bombproof too, good find
English

@OC Oh, COC! I blush prettily at such encomium. Praise from Caeser (not The Geezer). It is Great Work you do.
Now set a competition where the 100th caller has to buy dinner for the 101st. See how many ring in.

This is my 28th year in breakfast radio.
My love for the medium and its power and potential deepens all the time. As does my anger at the amount of formulaic coasters, poseurs and curated personas diluting what radio should be about.
My job isn't to uphold the conventions of the format, it's to evolve out of what's worked before. Right now in a divided and angry world, radio can be a force for unity, empathy, shared experience, realness, and JOY.
Time for the pros to rise up, drop the acts and really show up. Play with the unparalleled possibility radio offers above any other medium.
I'm still yet to hear anyone play with radio greater than @prodnose. He still inspires me like Steve Wright did.
Video didn't kill the radio star, but mediocrity will.

@laflammerouge16 The TdF and TdFF are the reason big teams can draw in the budgets they do. ASO and Flanders Classics provide the existential platform
English

The Tour de France would still be the Tour de France even if it were ridden by 24 French Continental teams.
The race is bigger than the teams and the riders.
Cycling is, and has always been, about the importance of the races—not the teams or the riders.
Pieter Ryckaert@PiejeMR
@laflammerouge16 Try riding a Tour de France without teams, maybe. And you can't underestimate the impact Unibet Rose Rockets have with kids.
English

@lukascph Don't be surprised to see Caja Rural advertising hoardings or adverts in l' Equipe particularly around depart time
English

@Academy_ds If Caja Rural was a Catalan team, sure. But they're from Navarra!
English

When given the chance, ASO will *always* make the 'traditional', boring, no-risk choice. They either don't realise that this choice also comes without any possible reward - or they simply don't care, because they're the biggest race in the world already.
Cyclingnews@Cyclingnewsfeed
Sorry, ASO, but I think you've made the wrong decision – Unibet Rose Rockets are the team the Tour de France needs cyclingnews.com/pro-cycling/so…
English

@cyclingweekly There has always been pressure. Not so long ago riders were sometimes lucky to chose cycling over a life down the pits or steelworks, carving out a life for themselves during their summer race season.
