Criminalisation prevents trans & intersex people from obtaining IDs and thus limits access to employment, housing & healthcare. Providers & justice systems frequently discriminate & rarely prosecute abuses against gender-diverse people, leaving victims without recourse.

local, context-specific advocacy and legal recognition of organisations is important; such efforts must consider trade-offs, ensure long-term support and wellness for activists, and include work to queer health systems so marginalised people can access equitable services;

Reproductive justice should replace narrow “choice” narratives with a people-centered, holistic approach that addresses lived realities, tailors comprehensive services to the most marginalised, and uses solidarity and collective advocacy to scale interventions regionally-webinar
