I called @PortlandPolice non-emergency at 𝟔:𝟒𝟓 PM requesting assistance. When no one responded, I called 𝟗𝟏𝟏 twice—at 𝟕:𝟐𝟓 PM and again at 𝟕:𝟓𝟖 PM. 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴. It wasn’t until 𝟖:𝟐𝟐 PM that I was finally contacted—via text—by an officer who was professional and respectful, asking me to leave the area and meet him and other officers two blocks away from the scene. 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: it took nearly two hours for law enforcement to make contact and take a report. That kind of response time is unacceptable! 🤦🏻‍♂️
