ACEC San Luis Chapter

Our latest chapter meeting included a discussion of contract terms and conditions led by Dennis Stryker, counsel to @RickEngineering. Thank you Dennis, for making the trip to SLO and for your sage insight!

We had a great chapter meeting last week, with guests from @SLOCOGdotORG joining us to discuss the Local Roads First initiative, a transportation initiative by SLOCOG to potentially place a countywide transportation sales tax measure on a future ballot.

We had excellent turnout at our ACEC San Luis meeting yesterday. Board updates included ACEC Awards, LVD, Scholarships and QBS. We also approved a new slate of officers for 2025-26. Congratulations to the new Officers!

With all that is going on at home and abroad, we feel very fortunate to live and work in peaceful SLO and collaborate with a great group of @ACEC_California professionals. Our monthly luncheon at Shalimar SLO included discussions on Recruiting, Legislation and a 2025 outlook.

After a bit of a summer break our ACEC San Luis Chapter held an in person meeting at our new favorite venue, Shalimar SLO. We brainstormed ideas for the upcoming year, discussed QBS, Politics and the current @ACEC_California Membership Drive.

Our Caltrans Safety Sam spent the morning highlighting Rural Road Safety Awareness Week by visiting our partners at @SLOCOGdotORG before stopping by the SLO County Board of Supervisors to spread the word on the importance of safety on our local roads. @CaltransHQ

After months of rain on and off in SLO, we had a clear warm day for our ACEC SLO regular meeting at Shalimar Restaurant. There was a great turnout to hear our guests from the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board discuss their work and had time for some Q&A.

Our ACEC San Luis Board Meeting today was held at Shalimar Restaurant in SLO. We discussed roundtable items, planned for the year and had a great discussion on Private Equity, hostile takeovers and other industry trends...

We had a great in-person meeting at Shalimar Restaurant today. Discussed the passage of AB 334 (thanks in great part to @ACEC_California), the Insurance Trust and planned for future meetings and speakers.
