@ChristianHeiens Have a family graveyard near hazard ky and it has graves of people born in the 1820s. That is just among the tombstones that still have legible writing on them. Beautiful and can't be found unless you know where it is.

There’s few places in America so beautiful and depressing as Appalachia. The scenery is breathtaking. There’s tree covered mountains right in your face everywhere you look, interspaced with foggy dales and hollows that are honeycombed with streams and forests. Words truly can’t express how gorgeous this part of America is. You just have to see it for yourself. And yet almost everywhere you go, it looks like an economic nuclear bomb went off. Factories and coal mines that were shut down years ago can be found all over the place, as well as abandoned rail roads that once served them. Nearly every town looks like it’s dying. Abandoned homes litter the highways, and even the farms look deserted with most of the barns and silos having long since rotted out. It’s no wonder why this place is one of the most pro-Trump bastions in America. America’s ruling class completely betrayed these people.

You’re talking about back in a time where having kids was very beneficial for you on the farm because it was free labor and didn’t cost an arm and a leg. That is not how the modern world works and you’ll notice our birth rate is rapidly declining because of it. Welfare families used to pop out babies as a meal ticket and that doesn’t even work anymore because of the cost of a child far exceeds what you get on any subsidies now.

@ChristianHeiens I like a lot of your views but this is one of those "I spend too much time on x" bad takes that reek of envy. I am 33 and own a home. I promise you property taxes will not make it easier for you to own a home. Young people who can't afford a home will never be most of tax revenue

You’re already seeing the propaganda campaign ramp us to justify our it. Boomers are going to vote themselves one last taxpayer funded subsidy as a final “fuck you” to the American people because they have the numbers and political power to make it happen. This is what happens in an aging society. Older people vote at rates far higher than zoomers or millennials, and that combined with sheer dead weight of numbers guarantees that you’ll see more and more politicians pop up to propose increasingly insane policies that cater to the over 55 crowd. That’s what all this talk about ending property taxes is about. It’s an attempt to offload the tax burden on people who don’t own houses, which essentially makes it a giant wealth transfer from poorer and younger people who don’t own assets to older and richer ones who do.

There's a certain demographic of contrarian malcontents who are so mindraped by Epstein and Israel that they immediately become a net negative for any political movement they latch themselves on to. These people contribute nothing to any political fight they engage in. They knock on zero doors. They donate $0. They volunteer on zero campaigns. They do absolutely no organizational work whatsoever, even as they rage online about how stupid and ineffective everyone else is. And when election season rolls around, it's a 50/50 proposition whether they even show up because they usually talk themselves into sabotaging whatever movement they claim to be part of. Let guys like you finally become the Left's problem to deal with. There comes a point when your vote isn't worth chasing. Having people like this as a political ally is the equivalent of having Italy fight on your side in a World War.

Why did Massie lose tonight? Massie went from principled libertarian during COVID, to GOP leadership lapdog under McCarthy, to anti-Trump Epstein obsessive in 2025 after tweeting about that issue a whopping three (3) times in the decade prior. The nail in the coffin for him was voting against OBBB in 2025 because, according to Massie, it did too much to secure the border. Trump mercilessly trashed Massie in 2020–calling him a “disaster” for America and Kentucky and saying he should be thrown out of the GOP entirely—but Massie easily swatted that away and won 81-19, so you can’t say he only lost because of Trump. He went toe-to-toe with Trump on COVID in 2020 and won overwhelmingly. Massie lost because he went from being perceived as a quirky but lovable nerd who seemed to genuinely believe everything he said, to looking like a clout-chasing influencer who cared more about getting TV time with Democrats on an issue he clearly never cared about until five minutes ago than he did about representing his voters. We’ll never know what caused the apparent personality change—maybe it was the death of his wife, maybe it was the McCarthy race followed by McCarthy’s ouster, or maybe it was a desire for notoriety or media acclaim and a lucrative podcasting career outside of Congress—but the drastic change was undeniable, as was the seeming lack of interest in much of anything happening in Kentucky. Blame Trump, blame Israel, blame Epstein, blame the tragic death of a spouse, I don’t care. But you cannot just wave away 2020 Massie going face-to-face with the Trump machine and winning in a rout only to get smoked six years later. Massie’s voters didn’t really change all that much, but he did, and they noticed.

Selling stolen oil and putting billions of dollars in a bank in Qatar to be spent without Congressional approval is not Constitutional. Only Congress can appropriate money. The President can’t legally create a second Treasury overseas for his own piggy bank. Wake up Congress.

Ok but isn’t this the same argument people on the left make about the right pretty much. If you are no better than them when it comes to standing on principle where will that bring us in the long term? Massie votes Republican like 91% of the time, so the few times he doesn’t mean he’s terrible?

President Trump just made extremely disrespectful comments about Thomas Massie and Rand Paul. All because they don’t vote yes on every bill he wants. “Thomas Massie always votes no “He's a very bad person.” “He’s a very bad Republican and bad American.” “Rand Paul always votes no.” “I don’t know why.” “I got him elected twice.” “If I didn’t endorse him, he wouldn’t have been elected, but he doesn’t reciprocate.” Hope Trump realizes that Massie and Paul are two of the most well-liked members of Congress for Independents and MAHA, and attacking them like this will only hurt Republicans in the future. Not voting Republican all the time proves they’re representing their constituents, not just toeing the party line.

What has happened over the last few years is that a critical mass of people on the Right have arrived at this point and no longer care about the moral blackmail that downright evil people on the Left employ against them on a routine basis. I don't want to manipulate these people, I don't want to guilt them, and I sure as hell don't want to negotiate with them. I want these people crushed. And I want systems to be put in place that ensure they can never wield political power ever again.

i've been hearing a lot of "the cruelty is the point" lately and insofar as this is ever true... yes! this is what happens if you try to force people to submit by weaponizing their kindness. they have to shed that kindness to get out from under your boot

The only time Leftists care about "empathy" is when they are trying to weaponize it against you. This disgusting freak has repeatedly tweeted positive things about Luigi Mangione and then goes online to bitch about police arresting a guy who refuses to comply with lawful orders at a traffic stop. These people believe that if they engage in enough emotional blackmail ("you aren't a good person if you don't do what I say"), they can manipulate the very people they openly despise into giving them what they want. They operate like sociopaths who weaponize the empathy of others to force their way into positions of power like the little weasels they are.

Because either he was wrong this time and you still got what you wanted, or he was right and he was the only guy who called it.
