To what extent do the people of Makerfield care about Russia/Ukraine? I suspect they care more about issues closer to home: unemployment; rampant inflation; rising bills; increased tax burden; mass immigration, etc etc.
Andy Burnham@AndyBurnhamGM

For the record: ▪️I opposed Russia’s invasion of Crimea in 2014 ▪️I called on FIFA to strip Russia of the 2018 World Cup ▪️I have resolutely supported Ukraine and Ukrainian Mayors since 2022 ▪️I believe the British Right’s closeness to Putin is a risk to our national security

The problem with the Crystal Palace "Ultras", is that they do all the Continental style choreography, but forget that Ultras also need to fight every now and then. Leipzig think that they are attacking proper Ultras. When it's just a bunch of singing poofs from SW London.

🇩🇪💥 It's already kicking off in Leipzig tonight, ahead of tomorrow's Conference League final between Crystal Palace & Rayo Vallecano

Robert’s answer is not Reform policy. As the person responsible for our deportation plan I want ensure people know where we stand: If a foreign national lives in social housing at taxpayer expense, they automatically fail our economic test and will be deported.
Basil the Great@BasilTheGreat

Robert Jenrick admits Reform UK will NOT deport foreign nationals living in social housing Trevor Phillips showed him Restore Britain's deportation plans and was clear "YOU DON'T AGREE WITH RESTORE'S POLICIES" There are approx. half a MILLION social homes currently occupied by foreign nationals in the UK Deport them all and give those homes to British people Reform are just weak sauce It's time to Restore Britain

🚨 UPDATE: Reform UK says Robert Kenyon did vote for Brexit despite him claiming he didn't in 2019 He wrote: "So anyone who thinks I love Trump, voted Brexit, read the Daily Mail, live in the 1950s, a Tory and 103 is wrong. I’m none of the above"
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK

🚨 NEW: Reform UK's Makerfield candidate Robert Kenyon said in 2019 that he did not vote for Brexit "Anyone who thinks I love Trump, voted Brexit... is wrong... I woke up the day after Brexit shitting myself to what was voted for" [@thetimes]

Rupert Lowe’s vanity is off the charts. His party, Restore Britain, is shaving votes from Reform UK in Makerfield. This could hand a victory to Andy Burnham and let the ‘King of the North’ become PM. Restore is the enemy of populism, says Brendan O’Neill buff.ly/DbiUXiS

@blaiklockBP Just happened to go missing for 2-3 years..? …in the same way Keir Starmer just happened to get mixed up with the KGB at a Czechoslovakian work camp at the height of the Cold War? Do all PMs get hand selected for specialist training decades in advance?

Andy Burnham: Went to Cambridge to do English. Couldn't find a job for 2 years, which is really weird for a Cambridge graduate in those times. Seems he went home and did nothing. Got a paid job with a trade magazine for a year. The only time that he has not been paid by taxpayers.

🚨 NEW: Reform UK’s Makerfield by-election candidate Robert Kenyon previously claimed women “can’t drive” and get abortions for “vanity purposes” to “shag anyone they want” Does this make him unsuitable for public office? [@Independent]

I live in one of the last remaining nice neighbourhoods of London so of course the council decided to build a housing estate for refugees right across the street… The self-destruction this country commits is beyond comprehension.

I think unless all patriotic voters unite behind Reform in Makerfield then Andy Burnham will win, call an early snap general election and put Britain under a hard left government until 2031. If you don’t want this to happen then vote Reform. mattgoodwin.org/p/a-prediction…

@darrengrimes Scotland is an entirely different political landscape to England Perhaps simply just too early for a 3 month old party to venture into Scottish politics Not every decision needs met with cynicism and attacks

Restore Britain didn’t stand in Aberdeen South so the Tories would be unimpeded there, now they’re standing in Makerfield, attempting to split the vote in favour of Burnham and Labour. Is Rupert Lowe the greatest asset to the uniparty?
