Trust goes both ways. Needing to dig through your partner's shit to feel secure displays a MUCH greater lack of trust than not wanting your phone forensically scraped. That being said, sharing is fun and I'd have no issue going through my digital world as a bonding experience.

@Invicta_D2 Sponsored is the only way to play crew fill with randoms that doesn't inflict psychic damage. I don't support gear based matchmaking in general but it's frustrating to queue with randoms when you're often going to end up over/undergeared compared to your squad.

The number of comments on this celebrating or begging for the sponsor kit queue to be permanent is highly concerning. Do people really prefer playing a worse BR, or is the average person's gear fear just that crippling? I really don't understand, what is the appeal here?

@LateNightHalo @MarathonDevTeam General advice: if you want to give useful feedback, it helps to explain your thought process more than it does to suggest solutions. WHY do you find a no-abilities mode appealing? What problem are you trying to solve? What don't you like about abilities in solos?

@MarathonDevTeam Think we could see a "neutral shell" that has no abilities or anything and is exclusive to Solos? No recharging Assassin cloaks, no Destroyer thrusters, etc etc just weaponry and equipment which arent infinite?

We wanted to talk a little about a few of the topics we're seeing frequently from the community, and some updates we're planning. 💣Too Many Grenades A big topic in the community right now is that it's not a good experience to open up a fight only to be barraged with dozens of grenades. We're looking to push some changes to stock counts and stack sizes before the end of the season. We're keeping an eye on the overall usage of equipment and will make additional changes as necessary. 🪙Gold Ares Railgun The Ares railgun with a Prestige mod being able to one-shot Runners with purple or gold shields is unintentional, and we'll be issuing a fix in a future update. We want it to feel strong and fun to use without being so effective it becomes overly frustrating to play against. 🔫WSTR Damage Nerf The WSTR damage nerf was a temporary nerf and we just released a more nuanced set of changes earlier today in Update 1.0.6.2. While we aren't looking to change the two-shot breakpoints, the WSTR indeed took a bigger hit than we were intending with the temporary nerf and we intend for this change to put it in a better place. It should have similar effectiveness against AI as before the nerf as well have less damage fallout at range. Go try it out and let us know what you think. We have to be willing to do more than "be weird" in the face of a malignant grassroots anti-queer conservative movement within the fandom, people who actively want "weird" & "gross" furries -dead-. We're ALL "weird" and "gross" to the majority. Remember that.

Case in point. The quiet part being said out loud here, is ultimately what all the puritanical anti-furs believe: this is a moral issue, being "weird" or "gross" is evil, and evil people do not deserve moral consideration.

Having strangers slow down your day is irritating, but you're an abject jerk if you get testy while a passenger in a wheelchair is helped onto a bus.

Speaking as someone who masks VERY aggressively and who places a great deal of emotional/"moral" weight on communication & social cohesion, I find interacting with other flavors of autism pretty distressing. My social coping framework no longer fits. It fucks the flow.

@BoomaDingo @Vironect My point is that I agree with OP, and seemingly you do too, but you don't want to use the term "gatekeeping". "Spineless" was used just to emphasize that we should accept that we do probably wanna gatekeep, and that's okay as long as we do it correctly.

@BoomaDingo @Vironect The reason I use the word "spineless" is because I don't understand why you'd want to distance yourself from "gatekeeping" while apparently vocally advocating for "making people uncomfortable until they leave", which is gatekeeping.

Sometimes I really feel like we should support gatekeeping in the fandom because all these “Influencers” have created such a clout chasing culture that I feel like a-lot of people post covid join for the wrong reasons. ☹️

Punk survives because they're actively caustic and hostile to posers. A problem with Furry is that the "why do you care", "just be nice", "no gatekeeping" crowd will actively sabotage and unknowingly cannibalize the space. Resisting appropriation means accepting confrontation.
