I remember back in 2008 when gas prices spiked. There were people selling their Hummers at a $15k loss. People were buying Priuses and talking about "hypermiling" by going 10 under the speed limit.
But now if think if gas hit $10 a gallon nothing would happen. We luv our SUVs

Poverty is expensive in a way that people don’t understand. If you can’t afford a dentist you have long term teeth damage. Not affording healthy food means poor health. Not affording ‘good schools’ means missed opportunities. It is a compounding cycle.

I used to rant about this a lot.
I’m back.
My biggest bump with streaming is, and has been, what it does to engagement, word of mouth, and investment.
Asking fans/audiences to wait 2-3 years for 8 episodes and still expecting them to care, remember or be excited is absurd.

This is more common than you'd imagine at large layoffs. Happened eg at Uber's 20% layoffs in 2020 as well.
It is because layoffs are decided at Director-or-above levels, and quotas need to be hit. Directors (or above) don't have all context, and some key folks are let go. Oops!
