@SarahABGee @silverlawn I don't think they're deprioritising the arts. All their programs are closing cos it was set up (right or wrong) to spend out over 25 years. If they'd endowed there'd still be grants but far less would have gone into the arts over the last 23 years which may have been bad too?

@silverlawn It is. Not apportioning blame, as they’ve been great supporters and advocates - and ultimately it’s the trustee s’ choice where their funds go - but it’s not the first to deprioritise arts funding, and it scares me what lies ahead on that basis. The question is ‘Why?’

Very worried to learn that another stalwart arts funder is winding down support after 25 years at the very point that there’s increased need. So grateful for everything they’ve made happen, but concerned that arts are being sidelined. The arts ecosystem is crumbling already.
