And all of this is happening as European governments buy energy from Russia while asking America to fund a proxy war against Russia. The result of all this is that now rather than evoking feelings of annoyance and even a touch of embarrassment, because of the admiration Americans had toward European culture, Americans are now feeling a growing disrespect and even a certain contempt for Europe.
