50k. The work is never really done, but milestones have a way of making you pause and reflect on the journey. Almost five years ago, I was splitting my days in half - 8h at my full-time job, then another 8h building what was just a small open-source side project called Gamestonk Terminal. I remember telling my wife (gf at the time) that it would be amazing if it got 20 GitHub stars. Yesterday we crossed 50,000 stars. What began as late-night experiments has grown into something far beyond what I imagined. And now, on top of this open-source foundation, we’ve been building a new open source offering over the past few months - one that’s nearly ready to be announced. Its goal is simple but ambitious: to change the way firms access data from public and open datasets. More on this soon :)
