@Letstalkmicro1 Staph streak plate. Whilst this would work for Haemophilus influenzae satellitism on blood agar, it also aids in the culture of nutrient variant streptococci often seen on Gram stain from blood cultures but fail to grow on standard culture.

@sarajcox Played Joseph in the reception nativity. Cried after the second show because I didn’t like people looking at me so they swapped me for the other Adam in our year and I got to take his place playing the triangle. I got over my fear later in life headlining as an ugly sister 😝

@cattypike @Abster_1983 I haven’t been following the Canadian case but Manchester did the testing when the UK case was identified the other year which was an interesting.

@cattypike @Abster_1983 We’ve also seen a few flu +ve patients with S. aureus chest infections with a suspicion that they might be PVL so will be interesting to see what the toxin results come back as.

I’m going to turn 30 and will be ticking Florida off my bucket list thanks to amazing friends. I’ll be grasping every opportunity to travel, see friends and unapologetically prioritise myself. So raise a glass, bottoms up, and bring on the start of 2025 🥂🍾

But it is how situations become the greatest opportunities for you to grow, and with the support of amazing friends and family it’s amazing how quickly you learn to smile again 😁 So that is what I hope 2025 brings, space to laugh, smile and grow in to the person I can be.
