Impressed by the paddy melon activity of Terrad’or, only 24 hrs after application. Other weeds haven’t gone off yet but the paddy’s have really taken a hit. @agrobaz@CropDoctor54@MarkSlatts74@SeanM_DMAg_SA

Thanks to @WSBDistributors for a Demo of the new HDP 2 yesterday. Was great to see it side by side with one of our balers. Some great improvements over the previous generation balers.
@James_Stacey_ and @CorbinSchuster whats the 2025 hay season doing? Price, demand and forecast. I suspect its still very high, our pastures won't keep up
My true question, do I cut a wheat crop or buy in the hay 🤷♂️ looking like 3.5+tn DM, but yield potential is pretty good too
Here are some oat crop pics, Archer, Goldie and then Yallara.
Archer and Goldie are both knee high, Yallara is about 400mm high, though has got better germination and plant population.

@AdamMorgan77@KondininGroup@ABARES Would need more than an avg rainfall season to get that. There’s not a lot of subsoil moisture off the back of a drought year. The next PIRSA Crop and Pasture Report will give a better indication
@GrainProducerSA@KondininGroup@ABARES Have you looked back only 20 years ago?2005 the season didn’t start till 10th of June what was our total crop production that year? If we get 2/3 of our average rainfall from now I believe we could still produce very good crops. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water GPSA.
@7NewsAdelaide Credit to the Government for doing their best for the creditors would be good if they could do more for the creditors of Beston foods. Many dairy farmers struck by a very dry season and unpaid milk cheques could do with more support.
Australia’s billionaires raked in $67,000 an hour last year.
While millions struggled to afford rent or groceries.
It’s time to turn the tables.
Today, the Greens announce our plan to tax the billionaires to fund cost of living relief.
@LFelmingham@cookthomasd@AllanRe37703049 I’ve got some archer and kingbale seed for sale this year, I agree I’m only sticking with some of the hay types to try and give me a couple of different timings otherwise I’d just grow archer or Yallara type.
@cookthomasd@AllanRe37703049 Yallara give good seed retention compared to purpose hay oat varieties. We used to grow a lot of brusher but struggled to retain seed and the quality gain in hay vs yallara wasn’t huge. Hay exporters still line up for our hay.
Keen to start getting into the imi tolerant oats.
@AdamMorgan77@agbyte_leet I went to the RFDS ball in Clare last year, was like a B&S for old people. Was super fun and bought back a lot of hazy but good memories
Much elation at getting home after a 2400km trip thru Victoria installing monitoring sites. 3 nights in the swag was enough, fortunately I've got a water tank in my ute for a shower.
And straight into our orchard kitchen for a cook up for my parents-in-law. Using the goat I shot last weekend & veges from the garden, a yellow curry is on the cards, prepared on the Metters wood fired oven.
And gunna watch some cricket on TV, very content fella I am.
@agbyte_leet It used to take a week to recover from one of them when I was in my 20s. I think if we ran one now I may need to book a couple of months off to recover!
@AdamMorgan77 The swag was depreciated in the first couple of B&S balls I took it to.....unfortunately none of them were ever the iconic Sandblasters. When are you gunna bring that back?
