This is the “flying Pentagon” designed to survive nuclear war, EMPs, and keep the government running if everything goes to hell.
When the doomsday plane starts doing laps right before your ultimatum deadline, the vibes are not “peace is around the corner.”

🇺🇸 Trump’s latest Iran press conference: He set a hard deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, after that, “they’re going to have no bridges, no power plants… Stone Ages.” He flip-flopped on the strait’s importance: last week “America doesn’t need it,” this week “it’s a very big priority.” He confirmed U.S. forces had to blow up planes left behind during the dramatic F-15 rescue. And somehow, the briefing ended with Trump randomly demanding Greenland again. In one press conference we got threats of total destruction, mixed messages on the strait, Easter-themed heroism, and a surprise pivot to buying Greenland. You really can’t make this up. Sharif University is Iran’s MIT. They’ve produced a huge number of engineers who’ve gone on to Silicon Valley and founded some of the most successful American tech companies.
Why are we bombing a university in a city of 10 million people?

Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, one of Iran’s top science and engineering institutions, was bombed tonight, and a number of schools reportedly damaged. Founded in 1966 (as Aryamehr University), Sharif is a cornerstone of Iran’s scientific and academic life. Striking and destroying universities and schools is not just an attack on buildings,it is an attack on a country’s future.

Iran just rejected Trump's ceasefire proposal, and is hunkering down for a prolonged war!
All schools and universities are now closed nationwide until further notice.
And Tehran is refusing a new U.S. ceasefire proposal, while also saying it won’t open the Strait of Hormuz.
Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan are trying to convince Iran to engage in peace talks, but Iran has declined to meet with U.S. officials.
Trump has no choice but to escalate, as per his threats.
The Iranian regime just made a terrible mistake, and the Iranian people will suffer most (unless this is all part of the ongoing negotiations to seek better terms before the deadline expires)

The officer was unconscious with a concussion and did not transmit a distress signal initially. He made first contact at 12:00 on Friday, climbed to the highest point to avoid detection, walked 10‑12 kilometres and hid in a crevice, from where he sent precise coordinates on Friday night. Israel refrained from striking in the area and provided intelligence. During Friday and Saturday, Israel was asked to assist with air superiority and struck relevant targets. U.S. forces seized a farm 18 kilometres from his hideout, landing two aircraft and small helicopters. The helicopters extracted him from the crevice and returned him to the farm. During takeoff, two C‑130s became stuck in sand; three smaller planes were called to evacuate the navigator and special forces. Fighter jets then bombed the two stranded aircraft to prevent capture. 💢 An advisor to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran’s list of regional and Israeli targets is not yet complete and that operations are being carried out “according to a plan,” not as reactive moves. He added the war will continue until Iran’s objectives are achieved — dismissing pressure and timelines from President Trump as irrelevant.
“Trump’s problems are not our concern.”
He said Washington cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz through military force and would need an agreement with Tehran — one Iran is not interested in, pointing to a likely prolonged standoff.

That doubles the $20 billion in reinsurance promised at the beginning of March.

Trump and Hegseth are both clearly deriving a deeply twisted but intense form of psychological pleasure from this war -- a perverse sort of adolescent fun -- and that should not be under-valued in terms of how long this war will endure or the atrocities it will entail.
