#ClimateTransparency Today marked the commencement of the first online training session under the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency Phase II (CBIT II) project, bringing together 107 participants from government institutions, academia, civil society and the private sector to strengthen Uganda’s climate transparency systems. The session introduced participants to the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) under the Paris Agreement, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory reporting processes, Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs) and the importance of integrating gender considerations into climate reporting. Participants also explored the critical role of accurate, transparent and verifiable data in supporting Uganda’s climate commitments, national planning and access to climate finance.
