I thought Dwarkesh had a good point that software engineering is the only job where the full context needed to do the job is available to an AI agent (via the code base) And I didn’t think Dario had a good answer for why automating other jobs will be as easy

Well... I think a penny just dropped. And of course it's something I learned 20+ years ago but didn't apply. I'll have more to report later today, but I'm pretty excited about this.

I don't think we actually want ai agents to book flights for us, even if we trust they'll make optimal decisions. Planning trips is fun. You get to imagine all the adventure/relaxation waiting for you in the future as you browse and choose. Inherently rewarding, positive utility, ~0 payoff from making it more efficient.
