I would be more open to the argument that “I don’t like what Republicans are doing and they need to pay a price in the midterms” if the opposition party wasn’t a psychotic, bloodthirsty carnival of Communists.
If Dems are true to their word there will be no coming back, and the doomers’ lust for accountability will be the final nail in the coffin for the country they claim they’re trying to save.

My backyard faces the sunset and since the weather has been nicer I’ve been helping my son practice tee ball. I usually have a couple beers and start playing music and when The Band or Tears for Fears comes on he almost immediately loses interest in the game, electing instead to run around in circles as the Sun goes down. All you see is his wild-haired silhouette with his hands in the air just going bananas, oblivious to anything that isn’t awesome.
Of course it inevitably ends with him shitting himself or falling and crying, but man for a few short, darkening minutes it is the best thing on Earth.

We’re going to lose the house in the midterms and Republican Senators are the reason why. The runway to fix this is getting smaller and smaller. They likely keep the Senate and maybe that’s all they care about but their weakness and inaction has obliterated voter enthusiasm.
