To teach Narendra Modi a lesson, spiteful BJP voters didn’t vote for BJP in 2024, which left the party without a full majority. Now, the government is unable to pass consequential bills with even a two-third majority. So, who learnt a lesson?

@IndiaVisualised @Rajeshsonusingh @Pivot2Centre Lol. Never underestimate the rich. One can just leave India and stay in Thailand and do business from Mexico. The rich stay here and are paying taxes - the biggest favour you can expect from them. Show gratitude and bow your head.

@Adhip_ray @Rajeshsonusingh @Pivot2Centre If there is no inclusive development in india.. If we don't consider developing the poor then there would be more chaos in the form of crimes, naxalism etc in india.. No gates society will protect you.. There will be lawlessness like brazil or south africa..

I can’t stress this enough 1. Buy a dishwasher. Almost 80% of the utensils can be managed by the dishwasher. Only cooker, and few items require hand wash 2. Buy a Romba. The one with mopping capabilities 3. Buy a dryer along with washer You don’t need a maid. Once you don’t need a maid, your life will be much more flexible- you day won’t revolve around her timings. You can literally automate 70% of the work she does and you can get several hours back. Just hire someone from Urban company to do deep cleaning once a week or 2 weeks.

So frustrating. When will Indians realize that this just pushes away businesses? Labor protections drive away the very wealth generators that society desperately needs.

@plastiqheartz I agree. Pay is proportional to skills. If one is highly skilled, employers pay them whatever they want. If someone's not, they are just a liability.

@Rajeshsonusingh @Pivot2Centre I agree with point 1. I was just continuing the thread. Regarding point 2, the indirect tax paid by 98% is so less that it is almost negligible. You can't compare indirect tax of INR 7 crore paid by a billionaire on a Lamborghini Urus to INR 10k paid by 100 poor people on petrol

This is going to be a disaster. Every single Politician would want a seat in the Parliament. Then, they will try to settle their children. Then they will try to settle their grandchildren. More type 7 bungalows in Delhi. More Drama in the name of security, allowances, blaw blaw etc.... And trust me, there will be not even a single % positive impact on development in India. It will remain the same. The only thing that will increase is - Exponential increase in Corruption. The worst ever decision. And why are the doing this ? Are they the policymakers in real sense? Is this what we are choosing at National Level ? Totally wastage of our hard earned money. Favouritism, nepotism, will prevail. Be clear in thoughts before accepting this as a law on us. Don't be blind in the name of religion and all. And which census they will take into the consideration? Because, some will benefit a lot,and some will be punished for their better population planning. #UPSC

The smartest thing Larry Ellison did wasn't building better software. It was choosing the right enemy. When Oracle was fighting Informix and Caiase for market share, nobody cared. So Ellison did something counterintuitive: He stopped fighting his actual competitors. Instead, he picked a fight with Microsoft and IBM. "We pick our enemies very carefully. It helps us focus... If you're a fighter, the only way up is through the top fighters in your division. So, we picked fights with Microsoft and IBM because they're the ones we had to beat to reach the top." The positioning was genius. When you're positioning Oracle against smaller database companies, you're fighting for scraps in a niche market. When you position Oracle against Microsoft? Suddenly you're a heavyweight. The media came. Fortune magazine put him on the cover. "Software's other billionaire." Customers started thinking differently: "Oracle is in the ring with Microsoft. They must be serious. They're not going anywhere. They're a survivor." Caiase and Informix couldn't say the same thing. They weren't fighting anyone. They were just... there. Ellison understood something most competitors miss: "Your position in the market isn't determined by who you actually beat. It's determined by who you're willing to fight."

Terence Tao proposes what he calls a "Copernican view of intelligence". Instead of buying into the common, one-dimensional narrative that artificial intelligence will simply evolve from "subhuman" to "superhuman" and ultimately make humanity entirely redundant, Tao urges us to look at the bigger picture. Much like the Copernican revolution proved the Earth is not the center of the universe, Tao suggests we need to realize that human intelligence isn't the only, or necessarily the highest, form of intellect. Historically, we have treated other forms of storing or creating knowledge—like animals, books, and computers—as secondary. However, we actually exist within a much richer universe of intelligence. Both human intelligence and computer intelligence possess their own distinct strengths and weaknesses. The true potential lies not in viewing them as direct competitors, but rather in focusing on collaboration. By working together, humans and computers can achieve additional things that neither could accomplish on their own, requiring us to think in much wider terms than just what humans or computers can do alone.

Should India take a bold step like Nepal and shut down private schools? 🤔 Because right now, “education” in many private schools feels more like organized loot than learning. Sky-high fees, hidden charges, zero accountability… Parents are paying premium, but are students really getting premium education? Time to ask: Are we building minds or just running a business? 🚨

A lot of Indians working in the West are the first in their bloodline to have made it out of generational poverty. They grew up in remote distant villages far away from the influences of globalization. Now that they are somewhat affluent they bring over their parents to show them around Europe. This is often a matter of immense pride for the family: a sign that they have arrived on the world stage and can afford to do things their forefathers couldn’t have imagined in their wildest dreams. These parents often come from rural areas as poor as sub Saharan Africa. They do not at all understand Western sensibilities, have a completely different sense of what is polite and what is not and are usually extremely terrified and overwhelmed by a world that feels alien. I understand that you find them inconvenient and perhaps even grating. I get it. Their aesthetics stand out. They lack polish and seem out of place in glitzy European airports. Although the glitzy part is increasingly becoming contentious. I sense the condescension in your tweet but remember at the end of the day these people are spending money in Europe, on hotels, food, and souvenirs. They are giving more than they take and it is important to see them as equals and not lesser beings.
WHG baddie@isa2001m

I 100% believe this because the past year or so in I would see Indians arriving at the central train station in Amsterdam or around the airport train station behaving like it was their first day on earth. One example, I saw an Indian woman who was scared to use the escalator, looking at it like she saw water burn, while holding up many people behind her who were trying to exit the train platform.
