As Albertans, every minute spent on separatism is a minute we're 1) dividing families, 2) scaring away investors, and 3) not building our province and our country. nationalnewswatch.com/2026/03/27/alb…

@howard_macleod This video shows that the person talking to the person holding the camera, wasn't harassing anyone. He was having a debate with that person. When you post his license plate online like that, that could be considered harassment.

AB separatists are 20% of the vote, 100% of the noise. They've railroaded us into a conversation that erodes business confidence and pits us against each other. Absent polls suggesting any chance Albertans want this, the Premier should shut the door to a divisive referendum. edmontonjournal.com/news/local-new…

The 20% Content creators like @Martyupnorth are now resorting to a classic Ezra Levant (tm) trick of provoking people and recording their reaction to claim as harassment of their 20% ditchbillies. Sure sign they are nowhere near the sigs they need.

I'll just post the whole video. This lady came to harass us. The video starts when Karen was asking her to be respectful. I started filming, because the sight of a camera usually gets them to back off. She ripped my shirt while trying to grab my phone. I'm used to filming. I'm loud because it was super windy, and I wanted to make sure my voice was recorded. I was also pissed that she ripped my shirt. 1/

Every single poll shows Albertans’ overwhelming opposition to separatism. So why hold a divisive, economically damaging referendum that weakens Canada’s position internationally? But if we must, #ForeverCanadian is ready. Please sign up at Forever-Canadian.ca #ableg

Poll after poll after poll. Abacus Data, Angus Reid, Ipsos, Mainstream, and now Leger have all said the same thing. The vast majority of Albertans are proud Canadians, and don't want to separate. When will Smith & the separatists clue in? #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli

#ableg Alberta reality check: - 82% live in urban areas - 70%+ work in service/professional sectors - Only ~6% work in oil & gas - 65% would vote to STAY in Canada The idea that Alberta is a small rural oil province of cowboys ready to separate is a dumb, American-funded myth

The Alberta Independence Movement is the most extraordinary display of grass roots organizing ever in Canadian history. It will absolutely crush the metrics from Pierre’s Leadership campaign, in Alberta alone, never mind per capita comparisons.

@DavidJPba Right. What is Carney, or Doug Ford, going to do if the USA recognizes our independence? Nothing. It isn't up to them. We have the inalienable right to self determination, period.

Nothing is more laughable to me than the idea that Canadians think we are going to wait for them to tell us whether Independence is "legal" or not. We have America backing us, you fools.

When we stand on the side of the road waving Alberta flags and collecting signatures, something interesting happens. Sometimes people drive by and shout things like: “Alberta independence will never happen!” Sometimes they swear. Sometimes they get really angry. But think about that reaction for a moment. If Alberta independence were truly impossible… why would it provoke such a strong emotional response? People don’t usually get furious about things they believe can never happen. They ignore them. They laugh at them. They dismiss them. Anger usually means something else. It means people feel threatened by the possibility. And that’s the interesting part. When someone yells “it’s never going to happen,” they are actually acknowledging that the idea is real enough to worry about. That reaction tells us something important: the conversation has already moved further than many people expected. For supporters of Alberta independence, this is also a reminder not to be discouraged when critics get loud. Every political movement in history faced opposition. You don’t need everyone to agree with you for change to happen. In a democracy, you only need a majority. The fact that some people are angry doesn’t mean the movement is failing. In many cases, it means the movement is finally being taken seriously. So when someone drives by yelling that it will never happen, we just smile and keep waving the flag. Because the louder the reaction becomes, the clearer it is that the conversation about Alberta’s future is no longer being ignored. And that conversation is only just beginning.

@IntChangeAgent @Martyupnorth Our common law system is based on historical precedents, in this case it would be examples such as Newfoundland & Labrador joining Canada with 52% of the vote, or Quebec (and Canada!) making contingencies plans based on 50%+1 voting to leave.

Here is concise high-level summary of the steps for Alberta to become independent, based on the Clarity Act and the Supreme Court’s Secession Reference: 1. Hold a clear referendum — Alberta passes legislation and holds a province-wide vote on a clear question (e.g., “Should Alberta become an independent country?”). The federal House of Commons determines if the question is clear. 2. Secure a clear majority — A decisive “Yes” vote (size, turnout, and context assessed by the House of Commons) triggers a federal constitutional duty to negotiate in good faith. 3. Appoint negotiation teams — Alberta selects its team (Premier, experts, etc.); Canada forms its own. Other provinces may join where interests are affected. 4. Negotiate terms — Parties bargain over borders, debt share, assets/liabilities, Aboriginal rights, minority protections, currency, citizenship, pensions, defence, and transitional issues. 5. Build replacement systems — Alberta simultaneously establishes its own institutions to replace federal ones (e.g., pension plan, tax agency, immigration/border controls, passports, etc.). 6. Finalize financial settlement — Agree on Alberta’s share of national debt (I think it should be zero), asset division, and any cash adjustments. 7. Secure constitutional amendment — Once terms are agreed, secession is formalized via a constitutional amendment (typically the 7/50 general formula, though unanimity may be debated for core matters). This step is simply a required legal formality—if negotiations succeed and produce an accord, the amendment cannot reasonably be denied, as refusing it would violate the constitutional principles of democracy and federalism established by the Supreme Court. It codifies the negotiated agreement and makes independence lawful. In other words, in just removes the word "Alberta" from the constitution. The process is straight-forward, and shouldn't take more than a few years.
