The 30-year mortgage rate in the US rises to 5.89%, its highest level since November 2008. Last year it hit an all-time low of 2.65%. The 3% spike in mortgage rates over the last year is the largest 1-year increase we've seen since 1980-81.

@jimiuorio The worst part is you cannot tell me that the Fed didn't know that when you print nearly half of all the currency that's ever been printed to date that it would destroy the value of the currency. They really cannot claim ignorance considering macroeconomics are their specialty.
